Should We Trans Children?

Soon after 12-year-old Chloe Cole discovered transgender ideology on social media, she began telling her friends and family that she was a boy. At age 13, she began taking testosterone and puberty blockers; two years later, she underwent a double mastectomy. Almost immediately after the mastectomy, regret set in and Chloe became one of many remorseful transitioners unable to reverse the damage done to their bodies. Now, despite the vitriol and hate she faces from the transgender community, Chloe is committed to warning kids and their parents about the dangers of gender-affirming care in minors. In this episode, Chloe explains how she became involved in the transgender movement, why she ultimately decided to walk away, and how this experience led her to believe in a higher power. Who Would Jesus Execute? (Part One)

Those who argue in favor of the death penalty often emphasize capital punishment as a means of justice for victims and their families. But what if those impacted by the crimes in question desire a different kind of justice? Rev. Sharon Risher, daughter of one of the nine churchgoers slain in the 2015 hate crime at Emanuel AME Church, is one of those people. In part one of this series, we hear Sharon's reasons for forgiving her mother's killer, even though he's shown no remorse for his heinous crime. We also hear from Christian anti-death penalty activist Shane Claiborne, who offers a theological exploration of redemption. Want to share your thoughts? Send an email to producers@maybegodpod.com! Replay: Why Trust God When Life Feels Like a Country Song? (feat. Randy Travis)

Randy Travis overcame all odds to become a country music legend, but few people know the whole story. After surviving an abusive childhood and struggling to stay sober and out of trouble as a young man, Randy's determined work ethic and signature baritone voice propelled his meteoric rise to superstardom. In the years that followed, however, his life slowly fell apart, and in 2013, he suffered a stroke that took away his ability to speak, sing, and walk. In this 2020 episode, we ask Randy and Mary Travis how it's possible to keep trusting God when your life feels like a country music song.
