Homeschooling a Large Family, the Joys and Challenges (with Heather Tully)
If you homeschool more than one child, at some point you have probably wondered, “How do I balance the academic and emotional needs of multiple kids during the school day? And after I do all that, how do I keep the household running, too?” Heather Tully is a homeschool mama to 10 children from toddler to college age. The Lord has been faithful to teach her and grow her… and humble her… over her past decades of homeschooling, and she joins us today on the Homeschool Conversations podcast to share encouragement, practical tips, and grace-filled hope for the homeschool mama of many. This chat was such a delightful encouragement to me, and I know it will be to you as well!

Publishing Books Old and New (with Amy Edwards from Blue Sky Daisies)
It was such a delight to be joined by one half of the Blue Sky Daisies publishing team, Amy Edwards. Amy and her friend Tina Mugglin started their independent publishing business in 2013, and since then they have continued to publish many fabulous books both old and new. Most recently, they published an updated edition of Hallelujah, Cindy Rollins's lovely Advent book. On this bonus episode of Homeschool Conversations, Amy and I chat about everything ranging from picture books for all ages, what to do when your homeschool reality seems to not quite live up to your ideals, and (of course) all about Advent and Christmas traditions.

Patience, Wonder, Ignorance, and Joy in a Classical, Charlotte Mason education (with Karen Glass)
What an absolute delight and privilege to chat with Karen Glass in this episode of Homeschool Conversations! I so appreciate her emphasis on humility, wonder, joy, and patience in a classical, Charlotte Mason approach to education. You will not want to miss her analogy between feeding our children good food and nourishing them on good ideas, while waiting patiently for them to grow at their own pace. So much goodness in this interview!
Here's the quote I read in Karen's book Consider This that made me determined to have her on the podcast: “We do not list ‘humility’ among our school subjects or put it on a transcript, but that is actually the little secret of classical education.”

Ordo Amoris (with Abby Wahl)
If you’re a fan of the Scholé Sisters like I am, you’ll be especially excited about today’s episode. My conversation with Abby Wahl covered topics as diverse as the ordering of the affections, educating children with dyslexia, and twin-mom life (with a little sheep farming thrown in there for good measure). I especially loved her thoughts on doing less, but better. I hope you enjoy this Homeschool Conversation as much as I did!

Humility, Worship, and Relationship (with Melissa McMahan)
Sometimes we homeschool mamas can be tempted to look to homeschooling for our identity and even as a source of pride. But when we view homeschooling as but one aspect of our role as mothers, when we see that it is an act of worship and service to God, and when we prioritize relationship with our children, we can truly experience joy in the homeschool journey. My guest Melissa McMahan from Cair Paravel Academy joins us this week to share her perspective as a long-time homeschooling mom of 5 daughters. We chatted all about classical Charlotte Mason education, pursuing our own interests as mothers, and more. This conversation was such a delight!
