FaceCulture is a daily-updated music platform for in-depth interviews, live sessions, and a lot more with your favorite artists. While we operate mainly on YouTube and other video services, with this podcast we wan't to enable people to listen to a selection of both old and new interviews whenever and however they prefer. A short disclaimer: Because a lot of our interviews are conducted at festivals, music venues, hotels, restaurants, and the like, the quality of the audio isn't always in our full control, so please bare with us when the sound quality doesn't always match that of other podcasts. Having said that, we do want to provde the listener with as comfortable a listening experiences as possible, so not every interview that we do as FaceCulture will find its way to the podcast. Ásgeir (2023)
Ásgeir Trausti Einarsson is an Icelandic singer-songwriter whose intimate and soulful folk songs, combined with electronic elements, has made quite a few waves. His debut album Dýrð í dauðaþögn (2012) was huge in his native Iceland, where it is said one in ten owned his album. After translating the album into English on 'In The Silence' (2014) the rest of the world quickly followed suit. His most recent album is a lo-fi reworking of the 'Time On My Hands' album (2022), an attempt to strip back some of his songs and not rely on heavy production to make a song. Kataklysm - Maurizio Iacono (2023
Kataklysm is a Canadian death metal band founded in Montreal in 1991. Vocalist and bassist Maurizio Iacono joined the band in 1998, and immediately had an impact on the musical direction of the band. Throughout their 20+ year career the band has stood for consistency and has expanded their audience to span the whole globe. Georgia (2023)
Georgia Barnes is an English producer, singer, songwriter and drummer that combine electronic dance elements with underground pop. Georgia is also the daughter of Leftfield producer and DJ Neil Barnes. Georgia's sophomore album 'Seeking Thrills' in particular was very well received for its combination of emotionality and danceable beats.
