Do You Have to Spend to Be Abundant?

SPENDING IN THIS INDUSTRY-if you're really abundant...you will spend excessively, wastefully or recklessly?Now... here's the kicker tho: I don't mean that spending is BAD. But if spending a looooot of money is abundant for someone else and THAT is what serves them at a higher purpose...it doesn't mean that that is what abundance has to look like for you. and let me get this straight--there's nothing WRONG with spending. But if that isn't what serves you...it's not what abundance has to look like rn. Maybe abundant for you is paying off loans, saving for a home WHILE still having fun. Stop letting what other people are doing to enjoy, celebrate success and be abundant HAVE to look like your version.

What If You Were Fired Today?

My previous corporate employers has had some big lay offs recently, and it really made me reflect on my time at corporate. While yes, it is a "steady income" you aren't guaranteed anything when you're working for someone else. That's not to scare you into entrepreneurship, but it should get you thinking about two things. 1) multiple streams of income -dog walking-plasma-realestae -biz owner-side gig-VA-investing2) EMERGENGY fund-one month of expenses-8 months of expenses just chilling-shit will happen, be able to RELAXI don't want to scare you into this. I want you to be able to live completely unattached to your paycheck and not depending on it in a way that would be detrimental if it stopped. BONUS: If you are looking for a new job, but scared to quit and transition bc it'll cost you, this is also a great time to save up: Negotiation Accelerator: Starting salary edition use code: "PODCAST" and get 15% off! https://deeperthanmoney.mykajabi.com/salary-accelerator

Treat Yo Self = Socially Acceptable Self-Sabotage

Awesome Treat Yo Self Categories-Go on a walk -Read a book before bed-Close your laptop by a certain point every nightCrappy treat yo self Categories-Screw my budget I will impulse spend $500 at target-Screw my workout I am just going to go home instead-I'm going to buy starbucks or lunch out bc i was late and didn't prepare ahead of timeWhen we act out of a place of instant gratification (like children), we think we are adding to our happiness, but in reality, these aren't actually helping our bigger picture goals. New Treat Yo Self-investing a higher percentage in your retirement-planning out a shopping spree & then taking one-taking a planned rest day from working out-planning out what you'll spend at starbucks & then buying itI want to reiterate that wanting something and buying it isn't a bad thing, but often times this "treat yo self" movement isn't actually treating you long term, it's just a glorified way to say self-sabotaging. Make a list of the things you do when you treat yo self & see which ones are actually you self-sabotaging. Create a new PLANNED OUT, self-advancing, exciting and guilt-free way of treating yourself instead. It's not treating yourself if afterwards you feel sluggish, guilty or mad at yourself. Treating ourselves should be a part of our planned out spending and our planned out activities. So, friend, treat yourself in a way that actually treats yourself.
