231 // Family Matters
Teacher: David Marvin. This Sunday, we're walking through 1 Timothy 5:1–16, where Paul is giving Timothy instruction for a real family— one that honors the elderly, cares for the vulnerable, and holds each other accountable. Paul starts adressing in the verses about how to treat different groups in the church—older men, younger men, older women, younger women, and then he spends a lot of time talking about widows. Paul reminds us that godliness starts at home: providing for your own family isn't optional but essential to authentic faith and, reflection of Godly character. Enjoyed the message? 230 // Running Out of Somedays
Teacher: David Marvin. Happy Easter! Welcome back to 1 Timothy! We’re jumping back in and looking at 1 Timothy 4:11–16, where Paul urges Timothy to make the most of his time and calling. His words carry a sense of urgency—and they're just as relevant for us today. It's easy to slip into a mindset of "someday," putting off what God is calling us to do today. 229 // Easter at CityBridge
Teacher: David Marvin. Happy Easter! 🎉 Today we celebrate the hope we have because of the empty tomb—Jesus is alive! As we wrap up our Back to the Garden series, we turn to John 20 and the moment Mary Magdalene discovered the stone had been rolled away. What seemed like the end of the story became the beginning of new life. In that garden, the risen Jesus called Mary by name—and everything changed. Because the tomb is empty, death has been defeated. Our lives no longer have to be marked by fear, shame, or hopelessness. We’ve been invited into God’s family, given a new identity, and sent with a message worth sharing: Jesus lives—and that changes everything. Join us this Easter as David Marvin walks us through this powerful scene and reminds us that because Jesus rose, we can live with purpose, peace, and unshakable hope. Enjoyed the message? 228 // Paradise Lost
Teacher: Josh Fortney. Today, we kick off our Easter series, Back to the Garden, a new series that begins in Eden and leads us toward the cross and the empty tomb. In Genesis, we see the world as it was meant to be—marked by peace, purpose, and an unbroken relationship with God. But the moment sin entered the story, everything fractured. We feel that same brokenness today—in our relationships, in our work, in our world. On Palm Sunday, we remember that Jesus didn’t come just to improve our lives—He came to restore what was lost. His journey into Jerusalem marked the beginning of restoration. This week, we’ll see how the ache we carry is actually a longing to return to the Garden—a longing that only Jesus can fulfill. Join us as we look back at what we were made for, confront the reality of where we are, and look forward with hope to what Jesus came to restore. Enjoyed the message?
