On this episode I speak with Vice President of Front Row Media (https://frontrowmedia.com/product-placement/), Mimi Clarke. Product placement seamlessly integrates a product, brand or service into a realistic context in a TV show, film, video game or webisode. Front Row actively promotes and secures opportunities for their client’s various products, brands and services. Mimi and I talk about the process of using product placement in a show. Product placement has benefits for both the client and for Set Decorators to have an opportunity to make the living spaces more real. Mimi's biggest product placement totally shocked me and how the WGA/SAG strike has affected the supportive business of Hollywood. Are you a fan of TV and film production? "Almost Famous", "Slums of Beverly Hills", "Rocky Balboa"- Director of WB property - Robert Greenfield
On this episode I speak with the director of Warner Brothers Prop house Robert Greenfield. Robert started out as a Leadman with Set Decorator Nancy Haigh, on films like “Mars Attacks”, “Waterworld”, “Forrest Gump”, “The Hudsucker Proxy”, “Bugsy”, “The Grifters” and more. He then transitioned into Set Decorating on some of my favorite films like “Slums of Beverly Hills”, “Almost Famous”, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind”, “Introducing Dorthy Dandridge”, “Bad Santa”, “Rocky Balboa”, “The Road” and more. Robert took over running the Warner Brothers Prop house over a decade ago and has transitioned it’s inventory not just into a trove of delightful set dressing but a place for Set Decorator and Buyers to shop for dressing with ease. Running three locations in Burbank with over 200,000 square feet at the main lot, his job of curating the set dressing pieces is massive. He has been an inspiration to me as a Set Decorator, and as the Director of the WB prop house he has made my job easier on many occasions with his calm and pragmatic demeanor. Are you a fan of TV and film production?
