Your Life Your Story

Alyssa gets super vulnerable in talking about what it was like growing up knowing she was adopted. The feelings of not being good enough consumed her thinking, so much so, she was dying to be accepted. A life of drinking, drugs, and an eating disorder defined Alyssa's life for a long period of time, before she got a wake up call from a doctor.  On the road to recovery, she discovers a relationship with the Heavenly Father, who had been waiting for her all along.  

The term "Discipleship" can be a tricky term to define.  What is it? How do you do it? When is a good time to talk about Jesus? Nate Thurlow tackles these questions as we talk through his story, of coming to know Jesus, through a mentor/friend.  If you have ever wondered about some of these questions, you are in good company.  Check out Nate's story as he share some nuggets of truth. 

College athlete to SWAT team, Matt Johnson, has a great story of encountering Jesus.  Matt doesn't only want to share his story with us, he wants to help other people own their story.  Matt walks us through how to discover your own story, and how much glory God gets when we start to own our mess.  

Doug must have google searched, "What is an alcoholic" a hundred times in his last year of drinking.  An Elder at his church, a Dad, a Husband, and a business man were all things that defined Doug, yet alcohol had been his best friend for years. Doug takes us on a journey with his best friend that allowed him to escape his emotions and the thoughts that dominated his head.  If you need freedom from alcohol, or know someone that does, you need to check out Doug's story. 

Lindsey & Lindsay answer questions about their own singleness journey.  Each person has prepared 3 questions, in which the other person will answer about their walk with the Lord through singleness.  You will get a sneak peak of the high's and low's of each of their singleness journey, which also includes Lindsey's vulnerability about relationships being an idol in her life.  

Laura opens up with us about her past history of relationships.  Laura discusses emotional attachments, same sex attraction, and how she sought the Lord in her time of singleness.  Laura releases freedom into her mic as she helps us navigate an identity in Jesus, how the bible can encourage us and ultimately gives hope to all who may listen. 

My good friend Haley, helps us navigate how you can tell if you are hearing from the Lord.  Haley and I give practical tools, stories and even a check list to make sure you are on the right track.  The Lord has a lot to say, are you listening? 

Terrell, a college football player, gets real, as he shares the hardships of growing up in government assisted housing.  Terrell's Step Father was a man in and out of jail, and abusive toward his Mother. One night the violence was too much for Terrell, and as he reached for the gun, to end his Step Father's life, something miraculous took place. 

Trey gets real and raw in his story as he discusses childhood trauma. A childhood trauma so hidden that he did not remember the incident till his early twenties.  God did an amazing work in Trey's life, through a friend that helped him work through lust.  How can Joy be brought about through conviction of the Holy Spirit? Check out Trey's story, you might be surprised how conviction can lead to ultimate joy. 

Joshua and Jackie, both have crazy stories of sickness, in fact, that is how they got brought together.  Originally, Joshua was just planning to encourage Jackie in her healing journey, until the Lord took off his blinders.  If you are dating, trying to figure out boundaries or just need an encouraging story, you wont want to miss out!
