It’s recently come to light that the wonderful actor Mark Bonnar appeared alongside David in his infamous Inspector Lynley Mysteries scene. So Joe, being a friend of Marks, has asked him to come on the pod to give his impression of how David behaved on the day. Was he really as nervous, time-waisting and rubbish at acting as David believes? The only problem is that Mark’s suddenly had to cancel and re-schedule the chat. So Joe and David take the opportunity to have a deep-dive into the whole Inspector Lynley experience - so much so that they had to make this episode a 2-parter. David kicks things off by telling Joe about the lovely old man he met walking on Dartmoor the other day. But also how the man thought David was about 57, which didn’t go down so well. This leads both David and Joe to talking about their aging and looking older too. Then it’s onto old jobs and the time David worked as a runner in Soho - and how David really does’t like London. So there’s lots of chat about David’s many issues with the city and how he was pretty scared of Plumstead when he lived there. But eventually, after talking through the pros and cons, both of them realise that they actually quite like London and decide to celebrate it instead. Well, celebrate bits of it at least. There’s lots to get through on today’s jam-packed episode. Firstly, Joe and David are starting filming on a new project tomorrow and David’s beginning to feel very anxious about it. Meanwhile, Joe was asked a pretty big favour from someone he doesn’t really know and is now feeling resentful about it. Then David reveals that over the weekend he met a man at the beach who he really got on with - and was then quickly dumped by him.
