191 Inception Part 1
For the first movie we review from 2010, you chose the mind bending, visually stunning Inception, directed by Christopher Nolan.
This is a big, complicated, intricately made and deeply ambiguous film, so, naturally, it's going to take Steve and John two parts to explore.

Politics and Art
So, this was supposed to be just another ordinary week for The Cine-Files; release a short to our supporters on Patreon on Wednesday and then our usual breakdown of a film on Friday, but nothing has been normal about this week. Strangely, the short, which was recorded before the world went crazy was on the relationship between politics and art. It was a good discussion but Steve and John's feelings about that topic has changed over the last few days. The subject of politics and art suddenly seemed much more important. They both felt a lot of passion and more than a little anger.
The episode you are about to hear is the result.
So, if you don't like hearing politics discussed in your Cine-Files episodes you might want to skip this one and come back next week, but sometimes artists, writers, actors and even podcasters feel a need to speak.
