While this may be cause for skepticism for some, we who believe the Bible and take it seriously should not be surprised to have experiences with spiritual beings from time to time. After all, Hebrews 1:14 says, that angels are "ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation," and later on in chapter 13 verse 2, we are told to "not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." Additionally, we are told that angels visited and ministered to Jesus after his temptation in the wilderness in Matthew 4:11. “What if my parents aren’t deserving of honor?” “You don’t know what they did to me!” You’re right. We don’t know your exact story and we’re not claiming to. The truth is our parents will not always be deserving of honor. And yet the truth is we’re called to honor them anyway. In this episode we publicly acknowledge the mistakes that we’ve made regarding honoring our own parents and what honoring them can look like practically speaking.
