The Mets swept the Yankees in their two-game series this week and only trailed for what felt like 5 minutes. Eduardo Escobar, Taijuan Walker, Adam Ottavino, and Edwin Diaz took control of game one in front of a LIVELY Citi Field. The stadium was seriously buzzing. Interesting series with the Marlins this weekend. The offense got hot and then immediately cold again. JD Davis and the bottom of the order had a big Thursday but newly minted Mets-Killer Bryan De La Cruz had our number on Friday. The boys were both in attendance for Keith Hernandez Day on Saturday and it was incredible weather, ceremony, and eventual dramatic Mets victory. Sunday kinda stunk, whatever, but there's a big Braves series ahead and we spent plenty of time previewing that as well as talking about Marc's college habits, Stranger Things, and other general nonsense.
