Have any of you worked with non-verbal kids? Many of us have. I’ve had several kids who were not speaking well into childhood and struggled with diagnostic impressions. In a few cases, it turned out to be selective mutism. My guest today, Dr. Aimee Kotrba, is an expert in this area. Aimee has specialized in selective mutism for years and shares a ton of helpful information during our interview.

Hello again, everyone. We’re wrapping up our Practice of the Practice takeover with a fantastic conversation with Alison Pidgeon. Alison is the “systems queen” at PoP, and she is here talking with me all about the systems and processes that she utilizes in her large group practice.

Dr. Maggie Sibley, a clinical psychologist and researcher at the University of Washington, shares her expertise in ADHD assessment and treatment. This is one of the most inspiring podcast interviews I’ve ever done. I thought that LaToya Smith and I were going to dive into inclusive hiring practices and how to build an anti-racist practice, but we ended up talking for a long time about the role of storytelling in her practice and elsewhere.

Today I’m talking through the recently released article from the Inter Organizational Practice Committee on recommendations for care during the pandemic, authored by Karen Postal, Bob Bilder, and several other rock stars in the field.
