Micah begins a new series about the power of a handwritten letter - an idea that's pretty foreign to most of us right now. We begin with Paul's letter to the church at Corinth which was a bit of a Vegas of Ancient Greece.

Dr. Christine Osgood, Associate Professor and Director of Wellbeing at Bethel University, joins us this week to talk about how we make God visible in the world; how we take our beliefs and values and put them into action.

This week's sermon is about a different type of meditation, the reflective, look back on your life kind of meditation. And Micah promises another sermon on meditation another time.

For those that grew up in an Evangelical church, the word fasting can bring up a whole slew of reactions. This week, Micah does a bit of a reframe around fasting and also a challenge for the community coming into a new week.

This week, Micah introduces Creation as a spiritual pathway, sharing his own experiences and seeing it as a way to experience God in the same way as church on a Sunday morning.

For the next seven weeks, up until Lent, we are focusing on spiritual practices that we hope will help you get through this long winter. There's not a one-size-fits-all formula for the spiritual life, so we hope you find something among these practices that lands well for you. This week, we'll focus on The Examen, a practice that will hopefully help guide you through the transition from 2020-2021.
