Earlier this month, the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) announced that it would be doling out $27.4 million in grants for more than 200 humanities projects throughout the nation — including a project that could be pivotal for preservation of the Cherokee language.

The partnership between the two organizations will include several workshops and mentorship opportunities, to be launched over the course of the next 18 months. The United Arab Emirates-based secretary general of the Sheikh Zayed Book Award, Dr. Ali Bin Tamim said that the initiative will help develop and promote a network of Arab translators throughout the United Kingdom.

Earlier this week, the United Kingdom-based company Adaptive Globalization announced the winners of the 2022 Best Employers in Localization Awards (BELA), which award language service providers (LSPs) who provide employees with outstanding benefits and resources. This year, Sandberg Translation Partners and Capita Translation and Interpreting were awarded with the BELA for Overall Best Employer.

Rodriguez enters the position with a wealth of business experience, which will no doubt prove invaluable as the company begins a busy year.
