"10", Part 1: No Other Gods | A Balanced Life

Ever driven on a tire that’s out of balance. Sometimes it feels like the tire is bouncing down the roadway . . . the steering wheel wabbles, your seat vibrates and you wonder if you’re losing control. But a tire store can adjust that balance and give you a smooth ride once again. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie shows us how to adjust a life that’s out of balance. If your life is wabbling and it feels a little out of control, glad you pulled in for an adjustment today from the 10 Commandments. "10", Part 1: No Other Gods | The Standard for Right and Wrong

What time is it? No, really. What’s the exact time? How do we know what the exact time is? Maybe your clock is a few seconds different from mine. The defacto standard is International Atomic Time, a weighted average of time kept by over 400 atomic clocks in 50 laboratories worldwide. That’s the source that’s trustworthy. When it comes to right and wrong, Pastor Greg Laurie says the trustworthy standard is God’s Word. And we’ll consult that standard today on A NEW BEGINNING. The Desert Song | Remembering What's Important

One of the great tools to memorization is repetition. If we hear something over and over, we can’t help but remember. We didn’t intend to memorize the words to that TV theme, or that corny commercial, but they’re stuck in our heads. Why? Repetition. The real question is, what do we let our minds hear over and over. But the fact you’re listening now is a great step forward. And today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie brings some scriptural truth worth remembering. How to Be a World Changer at the End of the World | Sunday Message

Pastor Greg Laurie wraps up our end times series with a look at a modern day miracle and fulfillment of Bible prophecy: the nation Israel. He also focuses on how we should be living as believers waiting for the Lord’s return.  Notes Israel will be scattered. Israel will be regathered. Israel will regain Jerusalem. Israel will be isolated. Israel will be attacked.   Jerusalem will be the focal point of End Times events.   Jerusalem has been and always will be the Capital of Israel.   Israel will be an “intoxicating drink,” “a heavy stone,” “and a burden for the world.” Zechariah 12:2–3   Never has a nation been able to maintain its national identity, even 300–500 years after being removed from its homeland … until Israel!   Read: Ezekiel 37:1–6   Read: Ezekiel 37:11–14   Read: Ezekiel 38:1–11   America needs Israel more than Israel needs America!   God made a promise to Abraham and his descendants in Genesis 12:3: “I will bless them that bless you, and I will curse those that curse you.”   The Lord will send a national revival to Israel where they turn to Yeshua.   The fact that God will pour out His Spirit on Israel shows that she will have a revival.   Romans 11:25   God has been pouring out His Spirit on the church, but that time is coming to an end when the last person has come to faith. Then, the Rapture happens.   In light of the signs of the times, we will look at a Last Day’s believer, Noah.   In this dark time, we need to shine as lights.   Scripture says, “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.”   A world changer is someone who wants to change the culture.   A world changer is a follower of Jesus Christ, and they affect their surroundings more than their surroundings affect them.   A world changer, like Noah, are thermostats, not thermometers; they control the temperature and set the pace.   Noah was commanded to build a giant boat. Hebrews 11:7   Remember: The Ark was built by amateurs; The Titanic was built by professionals.   God revealed secrets to Noah.   Christians know things the world does not.   It seems to be that openhearted Christians know we are in the Last Days.   Noah had a great reverence for God. “Noah moved with Godly fear.” Hebrews 11:7   To fear God does not mean we cower in fear before Him; it means we revere Him.   God gave us the rainbow to remind us of His promise!   The last page in the Bible states that we win in the end!   One of the signs of the times is people will not think these are the Last Days. 2 Peter 3:3   Jesus told us our last days would be just like Noah’s time. Matthew 24:37–44   Noah walked with God when no one else did. Genesis 6:9   The prophet, Amos gives us a key as to what it means to walk with God. “Shall two walk together, except they have agreed?” Amos 3:3     Noah was a witness for God. 2 Peter 2:5   “By faith, Noah being divinely warned of things not yet seen.” Hebrews 11:7   A world changer will draw their family to Christ; but those changed by the world, drive their family from Christ.   Noah has great reverence for God. Noah walked with God when no one else did. Noah was a witness for God.   Jesus Christ is coming back again! --- Learn more about Greg Laurie and Harvest Ministries at harvest.org. The Desert Song | Finding Joy in the Eternal

Smart grocery shoppers pay attention to expiration dates. You may see a dozen cartons of milk on the shelf . . . but a careful look shows that the expiration dates on some cartons are much further into the future. But sometimes we don’t think carefully about the other things of life that may affect us. Those things that bring quick enjoyment, often bring long-lasting disappointment. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie helps us focus on the things above. It’s a study of Moses. Listen on harvest.org --- Learn more and subscribe to Harvest updates at harvest.org . Between Impossible & More Impossible | Get Moving

GPS systems have come a long way over the years. They not only can show the best route, but traffic along the way, coffee stores, gas stations and fast food. You know exactly which way to go and how long it’ll take. But you still have to put the car in drive and get moving. And today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out the same is true in our walk with God. After we’ve prayed for direction and strength, it’s time to get moving. It’s harder to steer a parked car.  Listen on harvest.org --- Learn more and subscribe to Harvest updates at harvest.org . Between Impossible & More Impossible | The Source of Hope

We love to watch movies where the hero is stuck in an impossible situation with time running out. Will he make it? Can he make it? And he’s rescued just in the nick of time. But when WE’RE stuck in a tough spot, it’s not nearly as enjoyable. No inspiring music – maybe just an icy, lonely silence. And it may look like our time is up. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie says don’t give up hope. Instead, realize where your hope comes from.  Listen on harvest.org --- Learn more and subscribe to Harvest updates at harvest.org . The Passover: A New Beginning | The Solution for Sin

Nearly all pain relievers on the market use the phrase “for fast, temporary relief.” Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen – they’ll give a little relief, for a little while. But when it comes to forgiveness of our sin, we’re more interest in “immediate, everlasting relief” from our guilt and guile. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, as Pastor Greg Laurie takes us to the story of the first Passover, we’ll see God provided a solution for sin that forever paid the price that had to be paid.  Listen on harvest.org --- Learn more and subscribe to Harvest updates at harvest.org . The Passover: A New Beginning | The Significance of the Blood

New believers and non-believers can be baffled by so many references to blood in Scripture: washed in the blood, saved by the blood, the blood of the covenant, the blood of the Lamb. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, some biblical history and context as Pastor Greg Laurie takes us to the book of Exodus and Moses’ confrontation with the Pharaoh of Egypt . . . a confrontation that culminated one night in the death of all the first-born sons of Egyptians. But the Lord passed over and spared all the Jews. Listen on harvest.org --- Learn more and subscribe to Harvest updates at harvest.org .
