Moody was once asked, “If you knew the Lord would return tonight, how would you spend the rest of the day?” Moody replied without hesitation, “I wouldn’t do anything different than I do every day.” What should I be doing in light of the fact that Jesus could come at any moment? Read: Luke 12:35–38 We should be shining lights in a dark place.Luke 12:35 To gird your waist simply meant, “to tighten your belt.” To have their lamps burning meant, they would have sufficient oil in them. As the culture gets darker, we need to shine brighter. We are to be watching for Him.Luke 12:37 We are to be ready to go.
