God wants us to have a successful finish and part of that means helping Him reach those around us. Listen in as Pastor Greg Laurie explores Acts 19 and 20 to share “running tips” from the apostle Paul! Notes God used Paul powerfully, and miracles were happening! Whenever God is at work, the devil will be there to oppose. Satan is real and powerful. Jesus is much more powerful than Satan. The best defense is a good offense. Paul compares himself to a runner in a race (1 Corinthians 9:24). Paul warned to not “get off track.” Paul warned against looking back. Paul wanted to "finish his race with joy." It is a joyful thing to know and walk with God. We need to “play by the rules.” Paul compared himself to a steward. Everything we have has been given to us by God. Paul compared himself to a witness. Paul compared himself to a herald.  Paul compared himself to a watchman. We all have 3 things to give to God: Our talent Our treasure Our time We are to be: Runners Stewards Witnesses Heralds Watchmen God wants all of us to finish well. The greatest legacy you can pass on is your faith. Heaven is a prepared place for prepared people. God had an important message to deliver to mankind. He was surrounded by heavenly messengers, called angels. But He had a different plan. Pastor Greg Laurie sits down with Austin Carlile, former vocalist from Of Mice & Men about his journey to faith. Austin recounts the years he spent running away from God and how he came into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Although he was raised by Christian parents, Austin Carlile grew angry with God after his mother’s death and pursued satisfaction in a music career. Having spent years in the band Of Mice & Men, Austin Carlile had it all: money, fame, and a fast lifestyle. He performed alongside Kanye West, Linkin Park, Avenged Sevenfold, and others, but inside he had a hole in his heart that only God could fill. Diagnosed with Marfan syndrome and undergoing many surgeries, Austin had to turn to the one person who could save him: Jesus Christ.  God had a plan for Austin's life, and He has a plan for your life.
