Strike First, Strike Hard, No Mercy | The Philosophy of Cobra Kai | Einzelgänger

Strike First, Strike Hard, No Mercy | The Philosophy of Cobra Kai It’s not just to reignite his old passion for karate and to avenge his old nemesis Daniel LaRusso. One of the reasons why Johnny Lawrence reopens his old dojo Cobra Kai is that he believes that by doing so he can give today’s youth exactly what they need: the way of the fist. After saving his teenage neighbor Miguel from a group of bullies, Johnny realizes how soft many of today’s children actually are. This image is confirmed to him when a group of social rejects arrives at his dojo, who are desperate to toughen up, so they can awake “the snake within” and strike back at those who’ve humiliated them. Luckily, Johnny provides the recipe that does the job: the offensive, nononsense karate that he was taught as a kid, based on a simple philosophy: strike first, strike hard, no mercy.Cobra Kai represents the active, aggressive part of existence. And for many people, its philosophy is appealing, because it’s about pushing boundaries, crushing fears, and focusing on achievement and conquest; things that far exceed the dojo. As Johnny Lawrence states: “Cobra Kai isn’t just about karate. It’s about a way of life.” So, aside from physical fights, how can such a philosophy benefit our very lives? And what are the downsides and dangers of “the way of the fist?” This video explores the philosophy of Cobra Kai, and why we need balance in our lives.Support the channel: ✔️ PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/einzelgangerco ✔️ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/einzelgangster ✔️ Bitcoin: 3HQnEz1LQ4G6dqN2LdZgzc7qoJjJCyWjTC (Donated BTC and want in the credits? Schopenhauer: The Philosopher Who Knew Life’s Pain | Einzelgänger

Schopenhauer: The Philosopher Who Knew Life’s Pain The amount of suffering in the world is vast, so observed Schopenhauer. Life is a constant striving, a relentless pursuit of desires and needs that keep appearing. So it’s no surprise that people label this philosopher ‘pessimistic’ and ‘dark.’ But his observations aren’t unfounded.Video: Schopenhauer: The Philosopher Who Knew Life’s PainSupport the channel: ✔️ PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/einzelgangerco ✔️ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/einzelgangster ✔️ Bitcoin: 3HQnEz1LQ4G6dqN2LdZgzc7qoJjJCyWjTC (Donated BTC and want in the credits? Zhuangzi's Timeless Wisdom to Stress-Free Living | Taoist Philosophy | Einzelgänger

Zhuangzi's Timeless Wisdom to StressFree Living | Taoist Philosophy Taoism for Inner Peace (book): https://einzelganger.co/tao/Zhuangzi embodies a sense of calm, playfulness, and humility. He saw the world differently. As opposed to many of his contemporaries, he manages to break through conventions, let go of fixed views, and look beyond the human scope and understanding of right and wrong. He saw the usefulness in uselessness, beauty in ugliness, and order in chaos.Video: Zhuangzi's Timeless Wisdom to StressFree Living | Taoist PhilosophySupport the channel: ✔️ PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/einzelgangerco ✔️ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/einzelgangster ✔️ Bitcoin: 3HQnEz1LQ4G6dqN2LdZgzc7qoJjJCyWjTC (Donated BTC and want in the credits? How to Reduce the Pain of Life | Arthur Schopenhauer | Einzelgänger

How to Reduce the Pain of Life | Arthur Schopenhauer The nineteenthcentury German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer observed that nature is driven by an allencompassing force, which he called Will, or more specifically, the WillToLive. This force is unconscious, aimless, and blind, and gives rise to an insatiable striving within human beings. We live our lives grasping, craving, and attaching ourselves to external things, and we feed on other living organisms to perpetuate our own existence, all of which is a manifestation of Will. Thus, the will lies at the root of suffering, as our neverending hunger (and our inability to satiate it) results in an ongoing pursuit of pleasure that never, ever satisfies in the long run. To cope with the misery of life, Schopenhauer took the effort to construct a philosophy to help us attain a state of happiness, which may seem a bit strange as he’s such a pessimistic thinker. But similar to a philosopher and spiritual teacher that lived about 2,500 years ago named the Buddha, Schopenhauer rigorously examined and endured the illnesses of existence before he came up with a cure. After his death, Schopenhauer left us with an unfinished manuscript titled “Die Kunst, glücklich zu sein,” which can be translated as “The art of being happy”, and contains fifty rules for life. This video is based on the fifty rules by Arthur Schopenhauer, and explores how we can reduce the pain of life.Support the channel: ✔️ PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/einzelgangerco ✔️ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/einzelgangster ✔️ Bitcoin: 3HQnEz1LQ4G6dqN2LdZgzc7qoJjJCyWjTC (Donated BTC and want in the credits? Let It Go, Ride the Wind | The Taoist Philosophy of Lieh Tzu | Einzelgänger

Let It Go, Ride the Wind | The Taoist Philosophy of Lieh Tzu Taoism for Inner Peace (book): https://einzelganger.co/tao/The Lieh Tzu contains many stories with philosophical themes like the nature of reality, the purpose of life, and the workings of the mind. One theme that runs like a thread through this ancient scripture is the tendency of human beings to stand in their own way and thereby sabotaging a spontaneous, effortless mode of living.Dominated by a mind burning with desire, anxiously trying to control the uncontrollable, we’ve become unwilling and unable to let the universe run its natural course, as we have exchanged spontaneity for fear. And the more we fight the universe, the more painful our lives become, as things inevitably change in directions we don’t like. But how can we reembark the natural flow of life? What if we dare to let go of our attachments and desires, our fears and inhibitions, and become as light as a feather, like Lieh Tzu? This video explores the Taoist philosophy of Lieh Tzu on how to let go and ride the wind.Support the channel: ✔️ PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/einzelgangerco ✔️ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/einzelgangster ✔️ Bitcoin: 3HQnEz1LQ4G6dqN2LdZgzc7qoJjJCyWjTC (Donated BTC and want in the credits? Let Go of the Past (Marcus Aurelius) | Einzelgänger

Let Go of the Past (Marcus Aurelius) Marcus Aurelius stated that the past “signifies as much as nothing and is at present indifferent.” It’s not that events that have happened in the past don’t influence the present or that we cannot learn from past events. It’s just that we cannot work with the past, as it’s out of our reach. And often, our memories of the past are scrambled, and ways to verify what exactly happened are limited. The full video is available here: https://youtu.be/LGXRpbDuDGE#stoicism #marcusaurelius #stoicism Turn on notifications for the podcast & rate it a 5star for new episodes. What You Resist, Persists (The Mental Control Paradox) | Einzelgänger

What You Resist, Persists (The Mental Control Paradox) When we fall prey to the Mental Control Paradox, we experience that the more we try to control our thinking, the less successful we are in doing so. We’ve explored the experiment of the pink elephant a couple of times, showing how difficult it is not to think consciously about a pink elephant. So, when it comes to mental control, we could say: “what you resist persists.”The full video is available here: https://youtu.be/VpcQVjSVqOM#backwardslaw #reversedeffort #paradox Turn on notifications for the podcast & rate it a 5star for new episodes. How To Maximize Misery | The 4 Stoic Sins | Einzelgänger

How To Maximize Misery | The 4 Stoic Sins Virtue is the path to a happy life. One can characterize Stoic virtue by its instrumental as well as noninstrumental value, meaning that Stoics don’t act for personal gain, but rather to benefit the whole, even if this includes the rejection of pleasure and the endurance of pain. However, at the same time, this way of life leads to eudaimonia, and thus, living virtuously is rewarding for oneself as a byproduct. But what if we don’t live virtuously and what misery comes from that? In Stoic ethics, we find the opposite of virtue, which is vice. Vice can be subdivided into four elements. Obviously, following these elements will lead us astray. This video explores these 4 ‘Stoic sins’ and possible consequences.Support the channel: ✔️ PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/einzelgangerco ✔️ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/einzelgangster ✔️ Bitcoin: 3HQnEz1LQ4G6dqN2LdZgzc7qoJjJCyWjTC (Donated BTC and want in the credits?
