Devrath on how to be consistent in the journey of fitness

Episode #742In this episode of #TheHabitCoach, Ashdin Doctor is joined by fitness expert Devrath Vijay, better known as NinjaDev. Devrath is an animal flow expert - which is a movement based fitness activity and he shares how we can stay consistent on our fitness journeys.Devrath shares that its okay to feel the need to miss a gym day or a workout day, but the trick lies in restricting this feeling to just one day and never letting it go till 2 days. But in case it lingers on, he suggests that we need to completely stop thinking about the work-out and take it, quite literally, one step at a time - get into your workout clothes first, then just put on your shoes, get to the gym, and once you're there - you'll automatically figure it out - all step by step. How to let go of friendships? (Lisha)

Episode #741In this episode of #TheHabitCoach, Ashdin is asked by Lisha about how you can let go of friendships and make peace with it?Ashdin shares that it's important to know that if a friend does not have a positive influence in your life, it's totally fine for them to go from their life - and vice-versa. If you don't have a positive influence on somebody's life, it's totally okay for you to go away from their life. The only way to make peace with it to remind yourself that life ultimately works this way. What's important is to ask yourself what you've learnt from this person and what are the memories you carry of this person. And exclusively only keep the positive memories of this person. Devrath on how to approach fitness the right way

Episode #740In this episode of #TheHabitCoach, Ashdin Doctor is joined by fitness expert Devrath Vijay, better known as NinjaDev. Devrath is an animal flow expert - which is a movement based fitness activity and he shares how we can approach fitness as beginners.Devrath shares that even though the meaning of fitness is very dynamic, for him it's about longevity, mindfulness, and something that keeps you going. He shares that for beginners, it's important to get a professional trainer in the very beginning - even if it's just for 3 sessions since it'll help you get your basics cleared and understanding what works for you and what doesn't. It's important to do what you enjoy first and what's easy and then increase the intensity gradually in small increments. One other important tip that Devrath shares for beginners is to record yourself while working out because it'll firstly give you a lot of feedback on your form, but also you'll be able to compare yourself in a week or two's time and see how and where you've improved.
