Barça Brilliant, Plus Advantage PSG

Musa and Ryan look back at Barcelona’s 4-0 win over Dortmund, which saw Hansi Flick's side take charge of their quarterfinal tie (03:01). Two goals from Robert Lewandowski, plus goals for Raphinha and Lamine Yamal, were enough for a brilliant Barça, while Dortmund's likely to be disappointed not to have gotten on the scoresheet. In part two, they’re joined by ESPN’s Luis Miguel Echegaray to talk about PSG’s 3-1 win over Aston Villa in Paris (14:05), as well as his new book, ‘Messi Mania’ (32:00), available to buy now and released as an audiobook on 20th May.For more podcasts, ad-free and in full, plus access to the Stadio Social Club and much more, you can become a Stadio member by signing up at patreon.com/stadio. Not a Classic Manchester Derby, but Positives for United?

Musa and Ryan begin with a quick Premier League round-up (02:51), which saw Fulham inflict only the second league defeat of the season for Liverpool. Villa and Forest also served up a cracker at Villa Park, and it was goals and red cards at Selhurst Park. Plus, Southampton were relegated. They then turn their attention to the Manchester derby, which wasn’t a classic, and a catalyst to talk about Manchester United, Ruben Amorim, and the club’s future (08:04). Finally, there’s a quick look around La Liga, where Valencia won at the Bernabéu for the first time in 17 years (29:38), plus the Bundesliga and Serie A.For more podcasts, ad-free and in full, plus access to the Stadio Social Club and much more, you can become a Stadio member by signing up at patreon.com/stadio. There's Only One Place to Begin ... Arminia Bielefeld!

There really is only one place to begin this episode, and it’s with Arminia Bielefeld’s 2-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen to get through to the DFB-Pokal final for the first time in its history (03:42). Musa and Ryan chat about the third-tier side knocking out the current holders, the fourth Bundesliga side they’ve beaten on their way to the final, and their opponents—Stuttgart—who beat Leipzig 3-1 to head to Berlin. In Spain, it was Real Madrid and Barcelona who progressed to set up a Clásico Copa del Rey final (13:10). Real Madrid served up an eight-goal thriller against Real Sociedad on Tuesday, whereas Barcelona were efficient in their 1-0 win at Atleti on Wednesday. There’s also a quick shout for the cups in Italy and France, before they round up the midweek Premier League games (24:26).For more podcasts, ad-free and in full, plus access to the Stadio Social Club and much more, you can become a Stadio member by signing up at patreon.com/stadio. Bellingham and Mbappé Brilliance, Two-Horse Races in La Liga and Serie A

Before moving on to some big results from the weekend, Musa gives his thoughts on Thomas Tuchel’s first two games as the England men’s manager (04:23), before he and Ryan touch on the FA Cup quarter finals (11:32). They then head to La Liga and Serie A, where the title races seemed to lose contenders this weekend. In La Liga (17:21), Atlético's draw with Espanyol continued a run of patchy form that has seen them fall six points behind Real Madrid and nine behind Barcelona, both of whom won this weekend. In Serie A (32:45), despite dramatic ends to both games, Napoli and Inter won, while Atalanta lost a second game in a row—dropping from the top two.For more podcasts, ad-free and in full, plus access to the Stadio Social Club and much more, you can become a Stadio member by signing up at patreon.com/stadio.
