Rochelle Cruz, Justine Medina, Michael & Donna Cruz

Rochelle Cruz (Coach Ro), owner of Neighborhood Nutrition (now Mix It Up Nutrition) on Kempton St and True North Nutrition on Acushnet Ave's North End of New Bedford, both of which focus on health, wellness and positive impact in the city. Coach Ro's passions include community, building positive relationships, personal growth, and minority empowerment. She started her journey when she fell in love with Herbalife products in 2016. After being at her highest in weight and lowest in self esteem, the products helped her to transform into a high energy and healthy woman who loves herself and wants to empower others to do achieve the same. So she ditched her corporate career in Project Management and started her local small businesses to bring impact and opportunity to the New Bedford community.  Justine Medina is the owner of Our Way Nutrition located at 623 Brock Ave. in New Bedford. She is passionate about fitness , nutrition and overall health and wellness. In 2016, Justine decided to try a 3 day Herbalife trial pack and not only were the meal replacement shakes delicious but she was blown away by the energy she felt while losing weight. Since then Justine has coordinated local weight-loss challenges and has helped people lose over 7,000 lbs collectively. She opened Our Way Nutrition in July 2020 and is a certified personal trainer and NBPS administrator. Michael & Donna Cruz- Donna explained: Michael and I got introduced to these products a little over 25 years ago.   His sister Julie told him he needed to lose weight and needed to get on these products;)  I started shortly after him and long story short Michael lost 30lbs and dropped a couple of pants sizes.  I lost 15lbs and dropped a couple of pant sizes and people just wanted what we had.  We shared these products with co-workers, family and friends and worked this business part -time around our full- time jobs. It has always been our mission to share these products with everyone in our community.  Along with our business partner Rochelle Cruz who opened up the 1st nutrition club in New Bedford called Neighborhood Nutrition now Mix-It Nutrition and True North Nutrition we have been  able to help so many people reach their health and wellness goals. Michael retired from the state years ago and I retired in  January of 2020 from the City of New Bedford and opened up My City Nutrition in the heart of Historic downtown New Bedford. Health and Wellness is so important and to be able to share that with our community along this awesome opportunity  is what drives us and our passion.
