Fine Kula's Battle With Brain Cancer.
Fine Kula spent the early years of his life in South Auckland before being scouted by the Cronulla Sharks at the ripe age of 13.Moving with his family to Sydney, Fine was in a new school, living a new life & playing to earn his spot at the Sharks. After winning the Harold Matthews under 16's & Toyota Cup under 20's premiership with Cronulla, Fine found himself training amongst the NRL squad. With 2019 coming to a close, so was the first half of pre-season. Heading into the Christmas/New Year break Fine was experiencing headaches that would last days on end. Seeking doctors advice he was told that he was most likely suffering bad migraines & was sent home. Coming back to finish the pre-season in 2020 a day after his 21st birthday, Fine looked for a second opinion from the Cronulla Sharks doctor who sent him to hospital from training that day to get an MRI scan.Within days Fine alongside his partner & family were sat in front of doctors who would give him the unfortunate news he never expected. Diagnosed with Sonic Hedgehog Medulloblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, Fine's life changed in a matter of moments.Thrust into treatment immediately whilst trying to comprehend the magnitude of the situation, at first he was upset by the thought that this may be the end of his footy career but quickly he was motivated to get through this to ensure he can spend many years to come watching his niece & nephews grow up & spending precious time with the people he loves. Maintaining a focused approach on coming through his treatment & getting healthy again, let's get behind Fine & ensure he is surrounded by positive energy as he faces this challenge. He & his family have been overwhelmed by the support of the community & are grateful for all the well wishes & motivating messages. You can support Fine by donating at the gofundme link below & by simply sending a message of support on instagram @kula_fts.https://www.gofundme.com/f/7cbqg-fight-for-fine?utm_source=customer&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&utm_medium=copy_link-tipCherish your health as it is the greatest wealth you will ever know & understand how precious our time with loved ones on this earth is.Big Love, Brad. Tye Grieve is the creator of Gooné.A brand & business built off the back of Australian culture, low budgets & good times. After 5 years at University & 3 years in a stable career, Tye left his job as a civil engineer to pursue an idea & hunch he couldn't ignore any longer. Caleb Hanzy On What Faith Means To Him.
Religion can be such a taboo topic. As a society we have built barriers & walls around the topics that make us uncomfortable or make us question the comforts of our every day lives.Caleb Hanzy & I met many years ago through our younger years in school. Both educated at a Christian school, faith was always present. However, my family & I were never involved in church or consistent religious practice while for Caleb & his family it was quite different.I became great friends with he & his family throughout my schooling years & even more so with Caleb in the year past. One thing I always admired was not just his family's faith in Christianity, led by parents Scott & Rachel but they way the share their message. A true example of the good old saying 'actions speak louder than words' I have so much respect for the Hanzy family & the way they lead their lives.Whilst always involved in church, Caleb is now a minister at his family's church (Awaken Church). This episode we discussed many things. I touched on my personal beliefs which i've not really shared with too many others & felt comfortable to host with little bias towards the topic.I hope this is an enjoyable listen for many of you & that if you feel compelled to reach out to Caleb, you can do so via instagram @calebhanzAs you will hear in many occasions throughout the episode this isn't about forcing you into a way of life or belief. It's about making you feel comfortable having that conversation if you ever choose to do so.Big Love, Brad. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Why I Quit Real Estate.
Many of you know why I quit my job in the real estate industry, however, I've had a lot of requests to go into detail & share the story a little more. The catalyst was not only passion for this podcast but rather the 2 weeks spent in a hospital in September/October 2019.Those realisations in late 2019 had me write down 4 words on a notepad at the beginning of this year (2020). Health, Happiness, Family & Authenticity. Those 4 words led to a huge change in my life & I'm loving every minute of it!Subscribe, Leave a 5 star review & follow me on IG @bradleyjdryburgh. The Nate Nauer Story.
Nate Nauer was the voice of New Zealand radio for over a decade. It all started when he bullshit his way into a radio interview for a laugh. What was meant to be a joke turned into a career opportunity. His talents were recognised early when he was scouted to make the move from New FM to the popular Mai FM. Having hosted some amazing guests on radio Nate & I reflected on some of the most memorable celebrity guests for all the right & wrong reasons as well as discussing Nate's personal development throughout his career. Having felt his passion for work slowly die in the recent year, he has now stepped away from the world of radio to spend more time with his family & find what makes him tick again. Father to his beautiful daughter, man child to his loving partner & a proud uncle to his nephew, the love this man has for his family is admirable. In his down time, a close friend urged Nate to host a podcast. He has now aired 3 episodes all having huge success on youtube & will continue to do so until he figures out the next step.I am inspired by the path Nate has walked this past decade & I look forward to seeing what the future holds for him & his family.Follow Nate on IG @nate.nauer & listen to 'Run It Straight with Nate Nauer' on Youtube. Bipolar & Clinical Depression - Jared Pescud's Journey.
I am privileged to call Jared Pescud a friend.A man who was no more than a familiar face only months ago invited me to sit amongst a group of blokes at a dinner table one evening. Great yarns turned into deep conversation where we shared a portion of our life story's & I left that evening knowing full well that I would go on to spend time with Jared as a new mate. After a few more catch-ups our relationship had grown stronger. Strong enough for Jared to share with me what he doesn't always preach to the world. He spoke of his battles with clinical depression & bipolar. Honestly, it hit me for a six. One of the most outgoing & happy humans I know sharing that he has struggled through some emotionally testing times & at one stage wanted to take his own life.I asked Jared to share this story for two reasons:-1. This can happen to anyone at any stage in life.2. Jared speaks highly of the health professionals who saved his life & the importance of trusting in those that are qualified to handle the emotional minefield the mind can create when suffering from mental health struggles. He kindly accepted my invitation to share his journey & whilst I sit here & write this now I am proud of my friend as I know his message will be one of great positivity for so many. Please if you are encountering tough times in your life, reach out to the some of the following support networks. It's ok, not to be ok. BIG LOVE TO YOU ALL.Lifeline - Call: 13 11 14Beyond Blue - Call: 1300 22 4636 Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
