F*ck Yeah to Queer Style with Sparrow Fox

Queer hair stylist and fierce femme Sparrow Fox joins us to talk queer hair, aging with grace, and the magic of being seen in the salon (and the streets). We get into the pressures of our culture to look beautiful on the outside while suppressing inner turmoil, how fashion can affirm your identity, and how a queer mindset allows for stylistic freedom. We also share about our early experiences in the salon, the messaging that shaped how we view ourselves and how we carry ourselves in the world now as midlife queers who are sometimes too busy to serve all the lewks. F*ck Yeah Shorts: Reclaiming Celibacy & Abstinence

This week we're reclaiming celibacy, abstinence, and virginity with Daviel Shy! What if we approach abstinence as a container for introspection, longing and personal growth? When Daviel joined us on the pod two weeks ago we inquired about her Virgo season musings - the virgin experiment - which she has documented on her substack. When Sarah heard about Daviel's experimentation with celibacy, it reminded her of an intentional period of celibacy she took during Venus retrograde in Libra in 2018. We explore the significance of stepping back from your sexuality to integrate parts of yourself, why the sign of Virgo is particularly well-suited for the introspection that can accompany celibacy, and the intense longing that can arise in periods of celibacy (or abstinence). Even though Virgo season is coming to an end, there are many times of the year and stages of life that can benefit from periods of celibacy and it is something we can reclaim and reframe from the patriarchal model of abstinence until marriage or lifelong celibacy in servitude to god and repurpose for our own growth and wellbeing.Daviel's project The Lovers series premieres at the LA Gay & Lesbian Center September 21st. Tickets can be reserved at givebutter.com/SsGRphYou can also register for the Shameless Sex Couples Retreat that Sarah has been talking about and will be co-facilitating Nov 12-17.Please find us on IG, TikTok and support the show on Patreon.

F*ck Yeah to Cultural Investigations of Kink with Tina Horn

Punk rock educatrix, Tina Horn joins us to talk all things kink - cash fetishes, financial domination, spanking, bimbofication, cannibalism, feet, domming, oh my! Tina applies her signature curiosity, flirtatious wit, hyper intelligence and dirty mind, which you may be familiar with from her hit podcast Why Are People Into That?, to her new book and to our conversation. Why are People Into That: A Cultural Investigation of Kink (Tina's new book) breaks down kink practices and the most niche fetishes through a cultural lens, revealing the ways that BDSM is baked into and simultaneously gawked at in our culture. The book also explores Tina's own hard-earned experience in the kink community, a shared lineage she and Robin revel over in this week's episode. Tune it in to learn why we think Tina is "a smarty, smarty kinky pants!"Tina can be found on cashapp $showbiz04, on IG @tinahornsass, or online at tinahorn.netYou can find us (and support the show) on Patreon Instagram & TikTok @fuckyeahpodTina Horn is a writer, educatrix, and media-maker. F*ck Yeah to Erotic Cinema with Daviel Shy

Filmmaker Daviel Shy joins us to share about her upcoming project, The Lovers, which serves eroticism and queerness in equal parts. Daviel's creative mindset is akin to an arousal state. In creative flow, she takes in her experiences with heightened awareness and incorporates them into her work. Daviel also integrates the unique lived experiences of her collaborators into her work and allows space for the work to be changed by those both in front of and behind the camera. The Lovers web series is a semi-autobiographical work that integrates the ways Daviel and her collaborators sought connection through the pandemic and how the isolation, separation and strange interconnectedness of the pandemic changed them (and all of us). In revisiting the experience of the pandemic, audiences are able to process and integrate their lingering grief and trauma from living through similar experiences. The series premieres September 21st at the LA Gay and Lesbian Center. Tickets can be reserved at givebutter.com/SsGRphYou can also register for the Shameless Sex Couples Retreat that Sarah has been talking about and will be co-facilitating Nov 12-17.Please find us on IG, TikTok and support the show on Patreon.Daviel Shy wrote and directed THE LADIES ALMANACK, starring Guinevere Turner, Hélène Cixous, and Eileen Myles.
