Whatever happens to us, to our finances, to our relationships, to our health, nothing can rob us of the purpose of a life with Jesus. St Paul writes in Philippians 13 - ‘One thing I do, forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead, I press on, towards the goal to win the prize, to which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

When we look around, it doesn’t seem that there is a lot to be joyful about or a lot to have hope for. In today’s Bitesize, Jemima Hayley reads that the bible says ‘do everything without grumbling’ and discusses that God gives us peace and the tools we need to cope and to thrive in this life.

Right now in the world that is battling a global pandemic and change, it can feel like we’re unable to complete things or plan for things. But in today’s Bitesize, Pete Wynter reads Philippians 1:6 ‘Being confident of this, He who began a good work in you, will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus’.

What would it look like if we were living everyday a life that sought to reflect the calling we have received? In today’s Bitesize, Ruth May reads Ephesians 4, where Paul urges us to live a life worthy of the calling we have received. Take a moment today and ask God, ‘where am I being called?’.

In today's Bitesize, Sabine Adeyinka shares her story. Before she met Jesus, she felt she was constantly striving to fill a hole in her heart. Sabine tried everything to fill the void, but nothing worked. One day she was invited to a church service, and she finally found what her heart had been aching and searching for – God.

In our Bitesize passage today, Paul reminds us in Ephesians 2:8-10 ‘for it is by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not through yourselves, but a gift from God’. It’s quite easy to talk about things we have achieved, maybe it makes us feel significant or powerful - Bob Barstow reminds us today that our achievements are gifts and opportunities from God.

Today Andy Wooldridge reflects on Pslam 109 when David cried out to God for him to help and save him. Andy discusses how powerful love can be and although it is really natural to doubt Gods love when you are going through hard times it is important to always remember that Gods love does not fail or falter.
