What’s the Beef with the Samaritans?
This weeks episode:Ryan and Brian are discussing the Samaritans this week. There are several stories from the life of Jesus that mention the Samaritans. There is an obvious tension in scripture between the Jewish people and the Samaritans, but we don't get a whole lot of background information on that tension. So, they look at the historical background of the Samaritans and why Jesus' interactions with the Samaritan women at the well and the story of the good Samaritan were so important. The episode is full of historical information and is a fun conversation.Links:The One about the Time between the Old & New Testaments - https://thebiblebistro.com/podcast/e007/Exploring the Temple Theme in the Gospel of John - https://thebiblebistro.com/podcast/e012/Sparrows are the Worst & Other Lessons from the Apocrypha - https://thebiblebistro.com/podcast/e030/Support Ryan and Brian’s Bible BistroPatreon: https://www.patreon.com/thebiblebistroFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/thebiblebistroInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/thebiblebistro/Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/3H7qRmgSpotify: https://spoti.fi/3I7Gw6AWebsite: https://www.thebiblebistro.comRyan and Brian’s Bible Bistro is a podcast all about the Bible, theology, and all things related to the Christian faith.

Why Did Jesus Flip Tables? Cleansing the Temple or Something Else?
This week Ryan and Brian are discussing Jesus flipping over the tables in the Temple and driving out all the animals. We are specifically looking at the occurrence of this story in John chapter 2. The header in most of our Bibles labels this section as "Jesus Cleanses the Temple". Brian, however, doesn't like that title. So in this episode, we discuss the story and the potential problems of labeling it as "Jesus Cleanses the Temple."Support the Bistro
