#8 - Take Action and Turn Fear into Fuel with Josh York

Today's guest is the founder and CEO of one of the fastest-growing private companies featured in Inc. GymGuyz. Starting from almost nothing, he used the knowledge and connections he made as a personal trainer to build this disruptive at-home personal training brand into the giant it's become - with over 230 locations in almost 30 states. Now, you may have seen him featured in the New York Times, Forbes, or maybe you saw him sit down with Gary Vee on his little youtube show, AskGaryVee… Knowing that this man has actually done the hard work, lived the grind, and put in the time to build his business - when it comes to leadership, building discipline, and doing hard things, this is one voice that I think more people should hear from. I can't wait to share with you the conversation I had with the author of the book, Fuel: What it Takes to Survive as an Entrepreneur, and the man who lives and breaths the credo, "If you want to be in the top 1% of your thing, you can't think or do what the other 99% are doing..." Josh York. - - - I just want to remind you that you can rate and review this podcast on Apple podcast, I would appreciate that a lot. If you're not subscribed, be sure to subscribe. #6 - Don't Waste Time, Everyday is a Miracle with Dean Hall

Today's guest is an extreme distance swimmer who was told in his early 50's that he was going to die. That the Lymphoma and Leukemia that was attacking his body would win out. Then, just before his 30th wedding anniversary his wife who was also battling a terminal illness, suddenly died. And in that dark period, when he felt he had nothing to live for he found an inner strength, he refused to accept a death sentence, and against doctors orders took matters into his own hands. There's a quote from Albert Einstein that reads, "There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." Our next guest believes that adopting this quote as a standard to live by not only saved his life, but put the pieces into place to win the fight against Lymphoma and Leukemia, as well as help put his life back together. I can't wait to share with you the conversation I had with the man who may have cured himself of cancer through cold-water swimming - Dean Hall. I just want to remind you that you can rate and review this podcast on Apple podcast, I would appreciate that a lot. If you're not subscribed, be sure to subscribe. #5 - Focus On Getting 1% Better with Jeff Fenster

Today's guest is a prolific serial entrepreneur. Now, I don't have another way to say that but even that doesn't do justice to his accomplishments in a really short amount of time. Over the past decade plus, he's launched and sold a break-neck number of startups - within technology and business services, marketing, health, and now a retail food chain with 25 locations. Our guest went to law school to become a sports agent but at the advice of his personal mentor David Meltzer - was encouraged to start his first company during the great recession. Since then, he's become a startup/business scaling expert and his current ventures, Everbowl and Superfuel Coffee are taking the market by storm. And while it's easy to shrug off his accomplishments to personality, luck, or well-connected friends - that's not the case at all. Our guest learned hard lessons the hard way, faced failed ideas and business launches, and came to learn that his real secret to success was through the relationship capital he built up with peers and the business community. Get ready for the conversation that actually changed how I look at business myself - please welcome to the We Do Hard Things Podcast entrepreneur and very cool guy, Jeff Fenster. I just want to remind you that you can rate and review this podcast on Apple podcast, I would appreciate that a lot. If you're not subscribed, be sure to subscribe. #3 - Change How You Think with Stephen Scoggins

Today's guest is a serial entrepreneur who was raised in poverty, so much so that at one point he was homeless, AND...has also gone onto build up multiple 8-figure businesses. Now, what I appreciated most about having the chance to speak with him, is that he's not just talk. He's started from nothing. He's built and lost. He's seen success and major failure. And he carries that into everything he does. Whether it's as a best-selling author of the book, The Journey Principles, the creator of the life-changing program Transformation U, or as the man who helps people get over the excuses and build massive success. He believes, "People are not living a life they love, not because they're not capable of it, but because they don't know how to get there." With appearances on NBC, CBS, Entrepreneur, Thrive Global, Grit Daily, and more, our guest has taken over three decades of setbacks, failures, breakdowns, losses, successes, and comebacks to create simple-yet-effective step-by-step lessons. I can't wait to share with you the insanely inspiring talk I had with the man who can help anyone reclaim their hope and go from stuck to unstoppable, Stephen Scoggins. I just want to remind you that you can rate and review this podcast on Apple podcast, I would appreciate that a lot. If you're not subscribed, be sure to subscribe. #2 - Pick One Thing And Execute To Completion with Errol Doebler

Today's guest is a formal Navy SEAL and a former FBI special agent. During his 13 years with the FBI he investigated International Terrorist Organizations, was a part of the FBI's New York SWAT Team, was also attached to the United States Army's 75th Ranger Regiment through the FBI, for which during his deployment in Afghanistan he was presented with the FBI's second highest award for valor, the Shield of Bravery. Now, as the founder of the leadership training organization, Leader 193 he spends his time not training, but empowering. #1 - Hard Work Always Works with Sonja Wieck

Today's guest is an endurance athlete with a zest for adventure. That zest has taken her from struggling to finish a local fun-run and learning how to swim as an adult; to completing 18x Ironmans, including finishing 2nd in her age group at the world championships in Kona. But if that wasn't enough, her thriving coaching business saw her ride a wave of success until the day she found the anxiety and panic attack-inducing stress of running her business brought her to the edge of losing it all. But facing the challenges and learning lessons the hard way, she was able to rebuild and went on to participate in what's arguably the world's toughest adventure race: Eco Challenge Fiji. Now, if you've had a chance to watch the race on Amazon Prime, you'll know why I wanted to speak with her. Her openness, dogged determination, and the fact that she's a self-proclaimed "tough chick" makes her totally one of a kind. I can't wait to share with you the conversation I had with this mother, athlete, and host of the new podcast "Tales of Toughness" - Sonja Weick.
