Wahaj is interested in cardiothoracic surgery, and has published a book chapter as well as over 10 peer-reviewed articles in various cardiovascular journals. He has also presented his work at multiple national conferences. Wahaj is the regional lead for London, for the British Undergraduate Cardiovascular Association.
