Dr. Hullinger received her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society. She completed her residency in orthopedic surgery at Rutgers. She then completed her orthopedic spine surgery training at the University of Texas-Houston/Texas Medical Center.  Dr. Hullinger gained experience in a variety of spinal disorders, ranging from complex deformities and degenerative disease to spinal trauma and tumors, as well as non-operative techniques like spinal injections. She holds several leadership roles, including serving as an orthopaedic delegate to the AMA’s house of delegates, which creates policies for the largest organized physician group in the country. She serves on multiple committees in the North American Spine Society, including one that creates evidence-based guidelines regarding when specific surgeries are a reasonable option. She has been named a “Top Doctor” by NJ Monthly as well as Castle Connolly, and was named an “Exceptional Woman in Medicine” by Castle Connolly in 2019.
