I am terrified to go out anymore because I am afraid he will have a tantrum and I won't be able to know what to do. 17:17 During tantrums/meltdowns I get so emotional and overwhelmed and freeze , calming myself first is big thing for me 32:26 Age Appropriate Toys here is a question i want to ask. its not for me but i am curious about it. for example a kids special interest is paw patrol and its all over the Christmas list. and the therapist or another person says he needs a new age appropriate interest and there was no paw patrol under the tree. i heard about a similar story with Shannon. i would like to hear that story and how to handle a situation like that. I'm asking out of curiosity and helping other people. 41:38 My son gets upset and curses at teachers at school hello, my son 12 yrs old. When upset at school and sometimes home will curse at the teachers or aide. sometimes he will hit and always apologize right after, they have been trying to teach him what he can say or do when he's upset, he becomes mad when he cant have something or when he has to do something he does not want to do, he once said to the aid I'm going to kill you when he was mad. 47:03 My 11 Year Old Tantrums Every Time we are in Traffic. Good morning. My 11 year old son is extremely bright, has friends, hobbies and participates in sports. Our problem is when we are in the car and we get stuck in traffic he has a meltdown of crying, yelling, hyperventilating, and internalizing the situation. He'll say what did I do to deserve this? It looks like a panic attack. We have tried a car bag with books, fidgits, iPad, but he won't touch it. He will ask over and over to find out how long the wait will be, but sometimes we don't have cell service. It's like he needs information, but even if we know he still doesn't settle down.
