Recording March 21, 2023 Click here to set a reminder for the Autism Network Podcastathon #Progress #Autistic #autism 3:21 About the Autism Network Podcastathon! https://youtube.com/live/a-zymrdrBNs 6:38 My child isn't making progress, what have I overlooked? "My child is about to be 5, we have been doing ABA for the last 2 years. We started during the shut-down, with just parent training but he now goes to the center 3 afternoons a week for 2 hours. He is on the Gluten Free, Milk free diet. I feel like we are doing everything right, but he is still only saying about 5 words and we are still having lots of hitting and aggression toward his baby sister and no one can get any rest. He is often up all night for days on end. What am I missing? Please help." 22:06 "What is the average number of Trial sets per hour for a 3.5 year old who has been in ABA full time for 6 months. If I switched my son's ABA clinic, how much of a setback can I expect and do you advise against doing this?" 26:58 Which Treatment is more Effective? Home Based? or Center Based? "Is it better to have your child with ASD in ABA therapy that is home based or center based. Which would be more effective?" 31:08 When do you Know When it is Time to Stop ABA? 38:22 How to Gain more Consistency with Potty Training 40:30 Coping Skills 45:35 Does Dr. Granpeesheh do Online Consultations? 47:06 Advocating for Young Children that are not getting enough ABA hours. 48:07 Switching ABA clinics due to commute time 50:15 Working with 2 Different Agencies to Complete ABA Prescription "Hi. Our insurance approved 8 hours ABA for our daughter but can't find any agency that can't provide that. We started 4 hours last month with one agent that promised the full 8 hours soon, unfortunately our RBT quit without notice to us or the agency… now we are down to zero hour ABA… I'm thinking about working 2 different agencies to get the full 49 hours a week." 52:55 Post ABA "To all .. things can get better, but you must always learn to accept those that simply will not - but can improve. Dr., any thoughts on "post-ABA" when a child some basically "graduated" and needs help with things ABA cannot address" 1:01:56 Information about the Live shows this week 1:02:22 A Reminder about the Autism Network Podcastathon! https://youtube.com/live/a-zymrdrBNs Autism Network Website Shannon Penrod's book is out now!
