Cecil C of Prince Albert Saskatchewan Canada is telling his story at an unknown event held in Lincoln Nebraska in October of 1985. They discuss finding balance in sobriety, becoming present and embracing recovery, exploring the frustration with AA slogans, acknowledging powerlessness in Step One, seeking God and removing barriers, the action plan for steps four through nine, the power of sharing and engagement, and the importance of addressing resentments and taking action in the recovery process. They also reflect on seeking calm and happiness, the value of spiritual service, the art of lying, making amends and taking responsibility, and finding humor in the recovery process.
