Sober Cast: An (unofficial) Alcoholics Anonymous Podcast AA

I have had a number of requests to repost the speaks that became the book "A New Pair of Glasses". I originally posted this series in 2017, after 2600 Sober Cast episodes I am a bit better at audio cleanup, so I have gone back through and reworked the files a bit to improve the quality.  Part 2 of 6. This one ends a bit abruptly. Chuck C. was born in 1902, and got sober in A.A. in January 1946. In these 1975 recordings of Chuck C. at the Pala Mesa Men's Retreat, Chuck shares his experience, strength and hope about recovering from alcoholism. He tells how he recovered from being a "tongue-chewing, babbling idiot drunk". The podcast delves into reflections on fear, seeking help in AA, courage in making amends, and the power of surrender in the recovery journey.

Kurt Z., a speaker from California, discusses Step 11 at the UK Open Lounge zoom meeting. Topics include fear, St. Francis prayer, self-centeredness, transformation through prayer, and learning from mistakes in recovery.

Bob A was sober 44 years at the time he passed away, his experience in recovery led him to an approach to the steps based in dealing with ego and self and carrying the message of twelve step recovery. Over the years he led many retreats and workshops. This is part 5 of a 5 part series hosted in Culver City. There is some Q and A at the end of his speak, the questions were impossible to hear, I cut out the dead air and you hear answers but not questions. This ends abruptly.
