#109 - Mary

We all have mothers, at the very least, maternal mothers. But what actually is "mother"? What does it represent? And, does it always have to be from our maternal mothers?"Mother" is really feminine energy. That isn't to say female energy, per se, but rather the symbolic representation of the feminine: chaos, nurturance, love, empathy, and so on. We absolutely need this form of energy in our lives to be a complete person, and fortunately, it doesn't necessary have to come from your maternal mother. In any case, a person cannot be complete without some form of "mother". Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

#107 - Being Wrong Is GOOD

If you are a human being, you probably don't enjoy being wrong. It sucks, right? It kills our ego and makes us get off our intellectual high horse and think things through all over again. In the worst case, being wrong about something can completely dissolve our identity.Although there's no solution for the initial horrible feeling after being wrong, there is a certain perspective that can allow us to be more susceptible to it. In fact, there's a mentality that can allow us to see being wrong as a benefit as opposed to something bad. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

#106 - Is It A Conspiracy?

There's never been a shortage of conspiracy theories. Many people are fascinated by conspiracies, sometimes to the point of obsession. But are conspiracies always the reason behind things like government manipulation? Do democracies always fall because of some diabolical person?A modern and current example is the COVID pandemic. Many are sceptical of things like vaccines, mask mandates, and restriction of travel. The truth is that we are all afraid, and fear causes us to act irrationally. However, is that fear real or is a conspiracy? And does it even matter? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

#105 - The Ultimate Sacrifice

No human being is perfect. We make mistakes. Sometimes, we do bad things on purpose. Such things are a part of life, but evil acts aren't always easy to come back from. Some sins are so bad that they are completely irredeemable. In this episode, I talk about a particular story in The Lord of the Rings. And no, you don't need to be a fan to understand this episode! #103 - Could You Be A Nazi?

It doesn't take much research into history to know that it is filled with unbelievable evil. Humans have been committing horrific acts to each other for as long as history has been recorded. The most recent atrocities happened in the 20th century less than 100 years ago. In this episode, we will be going through two perspectives: one from a Jewish side, and one from the Nazi side. Though I would never claim to be able to fully comprehend how either party felt, hopefully this episode will give some idea. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

#102 - Complete Control

The dichotomy of control is one of the first things people learn about Stoicism, and what a powerful mentality it can be! However, it is often misunderstood in terms of its complexity. I've heard it argued from beginner Stoics that, unless it is 100% within your control, you should not worry about it. The follow up question to such a statement can only be: "but what is 100% within your control?""My attitude, my perspective, my thoughts, etc." you may be inclined to say. However, that isn't entirely true. In today's episode, I add layers of complexity to a seemingly simple idea. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

#101 - Josephine Tite: Death and Mortality

Joesphine Tite is a care-giver innovator, coach, and activist who promotes rethinking how we deal with death. Being exposed to aspects of death and mortality on a daily basis, she witnesses first-hand the issues we seem to have in dealing with, not just our own mortality, but the mortality of our loved ones.I'm not going to lie - this episode gets heavy, and we cover some very emotional topics. However, I sincerely think that these conversations need to happen. Death is a natural part of life, and it should not be taboo for us to talk about it. Enjoy! Learn more about your ad choices. #100 - Triple Digits

This episode, we reach 100 episodes! This was a large milestone I set way before the first episode. I felt it would be a great time to discuss where the podcast has been and, most importantly, where it's going. I'll also be talking about goal-setting and how to do it so that you are both motivated to improve yet detached from the results at hand. Enjoy, and stay tuned for 100 episodes more! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
