Dennis Prager and Alistair Begg Clarifying the Only Two Religious Options, Part 2 of 2
Send us a text** this is a rebroadcast of our May 04. 2019 program **Last time on the program, we played some audio clips of an event featuring Jewish radio host Dennis Prager and Christian pastor Alistair Begg discussing theological issues such as:Is Jesus actually God?Is salvation by works or by faith? Is faith subjective or objective?Their conversation highlighted that there are really only two religions: the majority that are based on man earning salvation (or a better life, future) through his works versus the one—biblical Christianity—that is based on Christ earning salvation for man through His work on the cross, which must be received by faith...

What’s Behind the Denigration of “Whiteness”? Part 2 of 2
Send us a textGUEST: Katherine Kersten, Senior Policy Fellow, Center of the American ExperimentLast week we discussed what is behind the denigration of “whiteness” in the country, examining a section with that title on the website of the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, along with a now-removed infographic on “Aspects and Assumptions of Whiteness and White Culture in the United States” (you can view it here).Values like the nuclear family, objective thinking, hard work, delayed gratification, and Christianity are associated with whiteness and viewed as unremarkable or even contemptible. In short, the vilification of whiteness is a not-too-veiled vilification of mostly Christian values. This weekend, Katherine Kersten will join us for Part 2 of this topic. Katherine is a senior policy fellow at the Center of the American Experiment, a conservative civic policy organization based in Minnesota. Recently she wrote a column for the Minneapolis Star Tribune titled “Racial Justice: The New Religion?” which highlights much of the “race-ism” worldview of our current times.

What’s Behind the Denigration of “Whiteness”?
Send us a textYou have likely noticed in recent years how white-skinned people have become objects of derision by those on the left. Our founders are described as “old white guys” or “white supremacists” and thus their statues need to be torn down. You have probably heard terms like “white privilege” and “white dominance” which are used to demean, guilt, and shame whites for all sorts of alleged societal sins.A good example of this disdain is found on the website of The National Museum of African American History and Culture, one of the taxpayer-funded museums of the Smithsonian Institution. There you will find a section on “whiteness”, with text and videos describing the malady. An infographic on “Aspects and Assumptions of Whiteness and White Culture in the United States” has been removed from the site after complaints (you can view it here).Values like the nuclear family, objective thinking, hard work, Christianity, and delayed gratification are associated with whiteness and viewed as unremarkable or even contemptible. This weekend (and likely next) on The Christian Worldview, we will examine why whiteness is denigrated and what God’s Word says about the ethnic culture.
