Ken Wilber: Jordan Peterson & the Evolution of Thought
This is an audio version of Ken Wilber: Jordan Peterson & the Evolution of Thought which was published on the Rebel Wisdom YouTube site on February 27th 2019.
Jordan Peterson has gone from an obscure Canadian academic to an intellectual megastar in a little over a year, and become one of the most polarising cultural figures. At the core, his philosophical project involves tying together mythology, religion and science into a 'theory of everything' that many are finding compelling. The Integral philosopher Ken Wilber did something similar in the 90s and 2000s, and built a large and passionate following. What does he make of Jordan Peterson's rise to fame? Where does he agree, and disagree with his philosophy?
This is one of several films with Ken Wilber on Rebel Wisdom. Gillette's newest ad, 'The Best a Man Can Be', has created a social media firestorm in the last few days. We sat down to discuss the reaction, the cultural context behind it and our response to the ad. Drawing on our interviews with Warren Farrell, Cassie Jaye and our experience leading men's retreats, we ask whether the ad is helping men or toxic in and of itself.
We recently had an article in the Guardian about our men's retreats: https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandst...

Men and Women after metoo - The Female Shadow
This is an audio version of Men and Women after metoo - The Female Shadow which was published on the Rebel Wisdom YouTube site on October 23rd 2018.
Earlier this summer, a group of women released a film where they apologised to men for how they had treated them. The film went viral, with hundreds of thousands of views. It also sparked polarised reactions - both for and against: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwKLT...
The creator of the film was conflict resolution expert Dr Hanna Milling. Rebel Wisdom's David Fuller sat down with Hanna, and contributors to the film Ilan Stefani and Stefana Bosse to ask them about the process of making the film and the reaction it has created. In the film, Dr Milling called for a new dialogue between men and women.
Hanna, David, Ilan and therapist Rafia Morgan attempted a new form of conversation: https://youtu.be/9CizXBr91Js
This is part of a series, 'Men and Women After #Metoo', which includes an exclusive interview with Warren Farrell: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESiyb...
