Episode 160: How Successful Coaches Approach Recruiting This Generation of Prospects
Fascinating, in-depth discussion on this episode!
Dan Tudor joins Kebba Tolbert, Assistant Track and Field Coach at Harvard University and a group of coaches he leads regularly in coaching and program development conversations. The topic? Recruiting, and how successful coaches and programs go about recruiting and communicating (and, yes, 'selling') this generation of college student-athlete prospect.
It's about an hour in length, and covers several topics, so we hope you enjoy it!
To contact Coach Tolbert, or to follow his very informative, helpful X (Twitter) account, connect with him at @kebbat

Episode 159: Coaching & Recruiting Lessons From Ted Lasso
If you've watched it, and you're a college coach, you probably love Ted Lasso.
The AppleTV series was a huge hit, mainly because of its cast of characters lead by actor Jason Sudekis' portrayal of an American football coach being hired by an English soccer team to be their new leader. Hilarity - along with some drama, self-discovery, and plenty of mishaps - ensues.
But for college coaches, are there lessons to be learned?
Former college coach and current author and speaker John "Coach Bru" Brubaker returns to talk about what those lessons are following the release of his new book, "The Lasso Way" (which belongs in every college coach's library, in our opinion).
To order the book, visit https://coachbru.com/product/the-lasso-way/
Or, buy it on Amazon or at your favorite bookseller.

Episode 155: Why Are My Prospects Taking So Long to Commit?
"Why are my prospects taking so long to commit???"
What college coach hasn't said that at least once every recruiting year? And yet, without an answer to that question - and a plan to overcome the problem - your program development (and job) might be in jeopardy.
So in this episode, Dan Tudor explains why delays are a natural part of their process, and offers some proven strategies on how to overcome it and re-direct their process back towards a decision.

Episode 153: Inside the Mind of Today's Teenage Prospect
If you coach college sports, you've probably noticed that this generation you're recruiting and coaching is much, much different than the generations before it.
They tend to need more direction. They are much more focused on their mental health. And, for many of them, their anxiety is off the charts.
So, how should coaches approach these young student-athletes in a way that brings them into the program, meshes them with your culture, and is still sensitive to their unique needs when they get to campus?
Today's guest helps programs, coaches, organizations and businesses do just that. His name is Brian Brown, and he leads the 127 Group, a consulting company that helps athletes discover their weaknesses, and what they can do to overcome them. I happened to overlap Brian's work at a D1 campus who is a client, and wanted to get him on the show to talk about his observations about this generation of student-athletes.
You can (and should!) reach out to Brian by visiting his company's website, www.the127group.com, or email him directly at brian@the127group.com. His work is thorough, and many top programs and campuses trust his leadership and successful results with their teams.
