Ever feel like it's harder than ever to close your top prospects?
You're not alone! The competition for the best talent has never been more intense, which is why we're letting you listen in on a recent conversation Dan Tudor had with one of our clients at Tudor Collegiate Strategies. Listen in on our advice, which also covers what happens before and after asking for the commitment: Assessing their true interest level, executing the right kind of campus visit experience, and more...it's a multi-pronged approach to getting top recruits in the position to want to say yes to you and your program.

Episode 153: Inside the Mind of Today's Teenage Prospect
If you coach college sports, you've probably noticed that this generation you're recruiting and coaching is much, much different than the generations before it.
They tend to need more direction. They are much more focused on their mental health. And, for many of them, their anxiety is off the charts.
So, how should coaches approach these young student-athletes in a way that brings them into the program, meshes them with your culture, and is still sensitive to their unique needs when they get to campus?
Today's guest helps programs, coaches, organizations and businesses do just that. His name is Brian Brown, and he leads the 127 Group, a consulting company that helps athletes discover their weaknesses, and what they can do to overcome them. I happened to overlap Brian's work at a D1 campus who is a client, and wanted to get him on the show to talk about his observations about this generation of student-athletes.
You can (and should!) reach out to Brian by visiting his company's website, www.the127group.com, or email him directly at brian@the127group.com. His work is thorough, and many top programs and campuses trust his leadership and successful results with their teams.

Episode 150: Summer Recruiting & Planning for College Coaches
Coach, how's your summer recruiting going?
More importantly: How is your summer planning going as you look ahead to the start of the fall?
Both of those topics were brought up by the coach who is the guest on this podcast - he's a basketball coach who called and had questions about the summer, what or what not to do with visits, and planning for the new recruiting class as it relates to handling the volume of recruits that some programs deal with at the start of the process.
If you need help with other questions YOU have this summer - or want to access any of the resources we talk about on the podcast - visit dantudor.com or email the host at dan@dantudor.com.

June 15th, for many coaches and programs, has become the most important initial date of new contact with the next recruiting class, and because it's such a competitive start to the cycle, it's important coaches approach it correctly.
