Some Thoughts on Current Events
Words cannot adequately explain our feelings today as we look out into a hurting world. Let us be slow to speak. Let us be quick to listen. Let us pray and call out to God for mercy, grace, and healing.

Special Announcement: Christians of History
This is no ordinary episode. It is special. Starting next Friday (May 29, 2020) we will be releasing two episodes a week. We will still have our normal Tuesday episode each week, but Fridays will be dedicated to a new segment called "Christians of History." Every Friday we will explore one Christian from church history. We will explore their conversion, life experiences, fun facts, theological significance, and more. If you recall, we have discussed Jens's philosophy on ministry and life: Theology, Liturgy, Biography. “Christians of History” falls under the umbrella of biography. We can learn a lot from those whose shoulders we stand on. We are not as far removed from them as we think we are. We will see these saints in glory one day. Join us as we explore these well-known, and lesser known, believers from history.

Becoming God: The Doctrine of Theosis
“He became man that we might become God.” Is this a pagan idea or a Christian one? The guys explore the ancient doctrine of theosis and discuss the meaning, history, and relevance of this oft-overlooked way of describing salvation.

TULIP: The Reformed Doctrines of Grace
In what can only be described as an episode of biblical proportions, Jens explains the Reformed “doctrines of grace” (better known by the acronym TULIP). What are these doctrines and what do they mean for salvation? Lukas responds by explaining why Jens is wrong. Brotherly discourse ensues for far longer than planned. You might want to break this one up and listen in sections, folks.

Nationalism, Patriotism, and Christianity
Lukas and Jens alienate their American audience by calling into question everything from the Pledge of Allegiance to flags in churches. How should Christians look at worldly authorities? What does the Bible have to say about governments? The guys dive into a deeply complex topic and try and provide some biblical frameworks for thinking through these sorts of questions.

Strange Fire? Thoughts on Worship Music
What makes worship music good? Jens and Lukas have a conversation about what goes into worship music and how we can think theologically about the musical parts of our worship services. Hopefully, at the end they figure out the difference between edifying musical worship and just offering strange fire to a reckless God!
