A heavy and tough sounding viewing for sure, involving a traumatic period in the director's life (and one shared, unfortunately, with many) - but listening to Aodh talking about how he handled it, the ramifications and echoes, and the world he now navigates is an inspiring and positive thing indeed. This violent side of society doesn't pop out of nowhere, and it's interesting hearing about the tremors, potential causes and some of the accelerants that are in the mix with it all. There are also many activists and organisations out there offering assistance, which will be linked below. Be sure to watch Aodh's doc 'Scars' on BBC, and engage in the rest of what he's doing too. Otto lives with Down Syndrome, which is of course not the main focus of this ace human but something that has had an affect on his world since birth. It's a great thing to hear about the making of the feature and the documentary, and a cool way of looking at such a creative outpouring. In this chat you hear the loud and proud Otto himself and from the directors involved who make a great pyramid of setup, explanation, discussion and general fun. At times you might notice that it's not the most calm, meditative and laidback ride BUT please don't let that draw you away - it's a really cool look at the world of Otto and the worlds Otto has created.
