It’s our first official This Week in Gaming review episode! I dive into what it actually feels like to use, what I love about it, what pleasantly surprised me, and what missed the mark. I’m breaking down everything you need to know before you decide if the Switch 2 and Mario Kart World is worth it. Don't miss it!

This Week: A brand-new Silent Hill remake is in the works and SAG-AFTRA finally reaches a tentative deal with major game studios over AI protections. We also talk the Nintendo Switch 2 which is already smashing records and a Splatoon spin-off has offiailly been announced. Plus, we’re diving into what’s launching this week and sitting down with tech guru Marc Saltzman for an in-depth convo about the Switch 2, whether it lives up to the hype and if it’s really worth the upgrade. This Week: Summer Game Fest weekend was jam-packed with game announcements thanks to the Xbox Showcase and Sony's State of Play! Outer Worlds 2 got a release date as did Gears of War: Reloaded. Ninja Gaiden is back with a brand new sequel, Capcom showed off a new Resident Evil game, Konami revealed Silent Hill f, and lots of new Final Fantasy stuff got announced. Not to mention Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and a whole lot more. Destin Legarie and I discuss 2025's biggest week in games including Xbox's brand new handheld, the Xbox Ally!

This Week: Elden Ring: Nightreign is here and it's dominating, Zelda’s live-action movie is starting to take shape with its first casting rumor and should there be a Battlefront 3? We go over EA’s cancellation of its Black Panther game, and what that means for titles like Mass Effect 5 and the Jedi franchise. Meanwhile, Call of Duty fans are pushing back on new in-game ads for microtransactions, and we look at how studios are proving that $40-$50 games can still feel AAA. With Summer Game Fest and the launch of the Switch 2 just days away, we’ve got our predictions. Victor Lucas and I discuss!

This Week: Borderlands 4’s studio head Randy Pitchford is catching heat over a spicy comment he made online, and does Nintendo have the power to brick your Switch 2 console? We’re also talking the Switch 2's new GameChat feature, the just-confirmed Elden Ring movie from A24, and the surprise end of support for Mortal Kombat 1. This Week: EB Games makes a surprise comeback in Canada, Gears of War Reloaded is getting a major remaster, and whispers of an Elden Ring movie that, may or may not, be happening. We also talk about the leaked images of Xbox’s rumored handheld PC, explore the stunning new GTA 6 gameplay trailer, and run through the week’s new game releases, including Doom: The Dark Ages and Frog Legs. I’ve got Danny Peña co-hosting with me as we break down these stories, and later in the show, I sit down with him to chat about how he built his career in games media and the challenges facing the industry today.

This Week: We’re switching things up with a brand-new format, and I’m joined by our very first guest host, Kahlief Adams! Together we dive into Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 as it lights up another 4/20-themed season, featuring one of our favorite Canadian celebrities. Then it’s bad news for Titanfall fans as EA cancels Titanfall 3 and studio Respawn gets hit with a devastating round of layoffs. Xbox also announces price hikes across all their consoles due to the new U.S. tariffs, and GTA 6 gets delayed. Quite the week in gaming!

This Week: Switch 2 pre-orders are already a mess, the Transportation Security Administration has gamers thinking twice about traveling with their gaming collectibles, and Sydney Sweeney is leveling up with not one, but two video game adaptations. We’re also celebrating the runaway success of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which is already topping the charts. Plus, Ghost of Yotei, the sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, finally has a release date. Victor Lucas couldn’t wait to stop by to tell me all about his first time playing the Switch 2 and what he thought of Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza!

This Week: After a long wait and a few unfortunate leaks, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is officially here. We’re also talking PlayStation’s price hikes across Canada and more than 100 global markets while Nintendo officially locks in a Switch 2 pre-order date for North America, now that the U.S. tariffs are on pause. And a shocking new study out of Japan reveals that nearly 1 in 5 young adults are spending a lot of mulla on gacha games. And Mario Kart World is shaping up to be Nintendo’s most ambitious racer yet.
