Stations in the Street

This is an audio accompaniment for Scott Erickson's Stations in the Street artwork presented here.Narration by Tracy Wilson and Brent LevyMusic by Alli BurksStations in the Street is a modern take on a traditional Good Friday Stations of the Cross experience. The Stations of the Cross began as a remembrance that pilgrims had when they were retracing Jesus' final steps in Jerusalem up to the hill where he was crucified. Wanting to share that experience with those who couldn't make the trip to Jerusalem, they created these local stations of meditation.Between each scripture reading, you'll find a very brief interlude to allow the words to linger and invite reflection. It's a natural place to pause the audio should you need more time before moving to the next station. We hope that this audio leads you toward reflection, meditation, and prayer — as we remember Jesus' betrayal by a friend, conviction in an unjust political system, and his execution at the hands of the state.May this experience be a blessing to you as you lean into the heartache and hope of Holy Week.To learn more about The Local Church, visit thelocalchurchpbo.org.
