Exactly the content I want, a great length and frequency for news - type content, and excellent voicing. What more could I ask for?Email - Runjumpstomp@gmail.comHey Bill, first things first. I sent you a friend request. I’m Nintendork with the weird looking mii, and blue hair. Second thing I’m getting Super Mario Odyssey when it comes out, but one thing I don’t like is how much Nintendo is spoiling it. I’ve been trying to avoid as much Mario Odyssey coverage as I can. Because I want to be surprised about how cool the game is. What do you think of how much Nintendo spoils their games?ThanksJosephTweet @runjumpstomp Voicemail 260-RUN-JUMP 260-786-5867 Discord runjumpstomp.com/discord Stop by the live stream sometime! twitch.tv/runjumpstompNewsFIFA for Switch only accounted for 1% of all copies sold.Don’t expect remakes for Metroid anytime soonGameplaySNES classic Menu Music is awesome. Not reviewing the games right now. SwitchCraft is my favourite source of Nintendo News.Email - Runjumpstomp@gmail.comHi Bill,We are starting to see some of those graphically intensive games like NBA 2K18 and FIFA 18 played on the Switch. They seem to have a lot of problems running on the Switch.Do you think we will have the same problem as we did with the Wii U where 3rd party developers will stop trying to make these games on the Switch?Seems like they are having the same problems bringing games to the Switch that they had for the Wii U. The big difference is the success of the Switch versus the failure of the Wii U. Developers have a big incentive now to get their games on the Switch where they didn’t have that on the Wii U. It just seems like too big of a task and I imagine it’s a lot of work for these developers to try and put these games on the Switch.Should we accept the Switch as a system mainly for Nintendo made games and smaller indie type games?Love the show. Thanks,TrevorTweet @runjumpstomp Voicemail 260-RUN-JUMP 260-786-5867 Discord runjumpstomp.com/discordPer your comment on the podcast, I still play ARMS and love that game. Short and Sweet, I have listened to 3 or 4 episodes, and I highly recommend it. I can tell from listening that he is really engaged with his fans, which is amazing. I think it would be cool to have guests on the show, and hear their opinions. Just friends of Bill would be cool, and maybe bigger names later. Great Job!Email - Runjumpstomp@gmail.comHi Bill.I have been a long time Nintendo fan and have had all their main line home consoles that have come to the UK.Since buying the Switch I have been listening to lots of podcasts to keep up-to-date date with the latest news. The two I have settled on are Switchcraft and NVC. I feel that NVC gives me the multi voiced, multi opinionated mainstream view and Switchcraft gives me a more considered, nuanced and intimate experience.I love the shorter but more frequent format, I think about 30mins is about the sweet spot.Anyway keep up the good work.JulianFrom sunny Essex, Uk. He provides the information in a clear and to the point manner while maintaining a consistent standard of quality and a very pleasant community through Discord. A personable fellow with a pleasant demeanour a passion for Nintendo. Give it a few episodes and this too will become your primary go to!Email - Runjumpstomp@gmail.comMr Run Jump Stop,Just wanted to reach out. Great show. I listen to many podcasts covering a range of topics from politics, current affairs, sports and video games.I very much listen on the commute to work on crowded London trains and for this reason your show Nintendo Switch Craft stands out above the rest. Informative, unbiased, clear and perfect for someone who has a busy work life.On the digital v physical discussion, I have always bought physical on the basis I know I can trade-in games if I need to. I do also keep games I like, and have a proud collection. Predominantly a PS4 player, but since getting a Nintendo Switch I have been purchasing digital for the first time. I want to play without the hassle of juggling physical cartridges, allowing the Switch to truly feel portable. For the PS4, physical discs are going to continue being my form of choice. Digital will be my preferred delivery for the Switch.Lastly, keep up the great work. I know you a small set-up, but in terms of quality and passion you are on par and even above some of the more established big-budget podcasts out there. The fact you try support your wife's business through this adds that extra charm to the work you put into this project/hobby/passion of yours. I can feel the family vibe each time I listen to Nintendo Switch Craft.Appreciate if you have read up to this point, a rather long email I know. One that distracts Guards etc.The core gameplay centers around using one side to distract guards to allow the other side to pass. Sometimes there are dotted lines that will get in your way. So you can’t cross them. The game overall has a very mellow vibe, getting caught doesn’t have some huge penalty. The music is atmospheric. Made by the same composer as Anti-Chamber which needs a switch port.Graphics are simple but effective. (blue on the left red on the right)There is a story about a guy and a robot, I won’t get into it at all, but it plays out as a comic as you make your way through the game. The game is a single player game, but could easily be a multiplayer game, which is where I think it would shine the most. Adding in the ability to turn the joycons sideways for play would make playing this game multiplayer easier. Would also lead directly into what the switch is amazing for (local portable multiplayer with one system)I’d definitely recommend Semispheres 9.99 if you enjoy mellow puzzle games like this or the bridge, then its definitly a game for you, and 10 bucks isn’t too steep a price either.Lightning RoundNintendo now uses 2FA !!! Quick and to the point, the host doesn’t put in much “noisy” content, instead focusing on the biggest topics / releases. Keep up the great work.EmailGeoffrey emailed Hi RJS:I wanted to give my input on the physical versus digital question.I had a PS Vita and used it a ton. I had more than 60 games. Of those 60 I had about 12 cartridges and the rest were all digital.I know this is very much a first world problem, but changing cartridges was a pain. I'm just saying I have really experienced this issue. Just consider over 4 plus years, playing 300 days a year.. that's 1,200 days.. and multiple games a day.. that can be thousands of cartridge changes. So obviously the bad things about digital:1. They cost more, you can't get the good Amazon.com prices2. I had to buy my own 200GB storage card for $783. If you get some bad games or finish a game you don't want, you're stuck with them and can't trade them in...All 3 of those items add to not an insignificant amount of money, I.e. Hundreds of dollars more to go all digital..The advantage of all digital: user experience.. it's more fun and easier and convenient. For me, video games are all about fun, so yeah I'm splurging and making it a luxury item to go all digital and I'm glad I have.Tweet From Rebecca@RunJumpStomp RE physical+download: it's fine if it can be downloaded with a used copy as well. Switch Craft is my go-to Nintendo Switch podcast. The brief but more frequent episodes allow you to see what’s new with the Switch all week. I love being able to fit entire episodes in as I walk my dogs. Bill is honest about games, and not afraid to be critical of faults with Nintendo or developers. Would love to see this podcast start gaining traction and maybe start getting some interviews with game developers, but please stop calling football, baseball and basketball software “sportsball games.” Totally get it of you're not a fan, but it comes off as mocking sports games and their fans. I see some people have been giving one star lately and I just don’t understand that. Given, podcasts are up to a person’s tastes I think it's important to be objective. I can understand giving this podcast a 3 or 4 star if you prefer a different style. As for me this is a must listen podcast, and I probably listen to 3-4 hours of podcast per day while I work. This podcast has many qualities which I really like, starting with the host who is able to keep things brief and concise while getting across valuable information. I would add to this for a one man podcast the production value is top notch. The host has an excellent voice, great diction, and he is discerning about when to give the highlights of a topic or when to make a deeper dive. He’s always topical to my interests at any given moment which is great. I would also add that the demeanor of the host is great. Not only is he fair and honest with his assessment, but he does a wonderful job of giving relatively objective information and goes out of his way to explain his possible subjective biases. Tl;dr if you’ve got only 30 minutes to spare and want a thorough but brief recap of up to date Nintendo news, this is a must listen to Nintendo podcast!EmailHey Bill,Just wanted to send a message and let you know that I LOVE the podcast.
