For the third episode of Live on KEXP featuring Courtney Barnett, Troy Nelson focuses on her third studio album, 'Things Take Time, Take Time.' Released in late 2021, the album replaces the fuzzy garage rock of 2018’s 'Tell Me How You Really Feel' for hypnotizingly laid back fingerpicked riffs. Barnett chats with Cheryl Waters about how changes in her living space and the extra time allotted by the pandemic affected the outcome of the record before playing four tracks off of it. The project of German musician Marius Lauber, Roosevelt makes music ripe for escapism. KEXP’s Troy Nelson takes us through a detailed account of Lauber’s evolution from drumming in the teen indie-dance band Beat!Beat!Beat! to honing his own electronic-infused sound for Roosevelt.  Their latest record, Polydans, was released in 2021 and is available on Greco-Roman records and Bandcamp.
