Hania Rani
On the show this time, it’s the cinematic piano and electronics of Hania Rani. The Polish pianist’s latest album, 'On Giacometti,' is out February 2023 on Gondwana Records. She continues to expand on her film score ambient classical atmospherics, using electronics and her clear wistful voice. Hayden Silas Anhedönia has been creating music under the moniker Ethel Cain since 2010 but only just finally released her debut full-length Preacher’s Daughter in 2022. Honing in on Southern Gothic themes, her music delves into coming to terms with her hyper-religious upbringing which Troy Nelson details in this episode of Live on KEXP before the Tallahassee-bred musician and model performs a gorgeous rendition of three songs from Preacher’s Daughter and one from her 2021 EP Inbred.
