I’m pretty sure I’m insane

A listener admits to crippling fear that's holding him back from pursuing any new ideas. We can welcome fear as a healthy thing as long as we keep it in the back seat of our car, and out of the driver's seat. Which of the 7 Fear Types is most dominant for you? Questions: Currently I feel empty, bored, not fulfilled and tired. At 50 years old I know I was created for more. I’m pretty sure that I am insane. The only problem is that the “fear, I’m not worthy, I’m gonna look stupid” side takes up about 95% of my brain. Is there any good information on how to network with other people for business connections? I am working on a seminar about Disaster Preparedness that will be free. How can I get businesses in this space to sponsor it? Click below for full show notes: https://www.48days.com/fear/

I make over $100,000 year and I'm not happy

How Do You Measure Success? A listener feels stuck. He's making a lot of money but feels no sense of fulfillment in the work he's doing. Guess what? With that success he's not stuck. With the life experience he has at 45 years old, he can do a little introspection and move right into a better opportunity. Oh, and by the way, don't assume your income will drop. Doing something that's a better fit will set the stage for dramatic increase - even without a college degree. Plus these questions: 1. What do you do when you are ridiculously passionate about so many different things? 2. How do I put a value on that 20 years of experience and college degree? It seems like all the avenues I find for "moving up" are with specific degrees, so I seem to be stuck on low-level, low-pay jobs. 3. I am a new graduate and applied for a position posted with a salary range of $24.08 - $37.61 hourly. As I move forward in the process of potentially getting hired by this company, how do I handle this part of the conversation? 4. I am 45 years old, and I make over $100,000 year, I'm not happy, even with that income it doesn't take away the pain of not finding my fulfillment. I'm frustrated and depressed and don't know where to start. 5. Dan, what are your thoughts on starting an ice-cream truck business? We found a truck for sale costing $8,000. Winning for God - losing at home?

What if I'm doing something worthwhile in a non-profit organization but my wife resents it? Isn't doing meaningful service always a good thing? No, our first responsibility is to our own family - not to everyone else in the world. Listen to why it can't be justified. Questions this week: 1. My wife says that she hasn’t seen many people teaching other people and trying to save the world go very well in family life...many divorces, child rebellion etc. 2. A recent college grad is set to become a classroom teacher but doesn't think it is the best use of her skills and abilities. 3. After failing a job performance review at a company he worked for for 26 years, my husband is faced, at the age of 64, with coming up with a new career! 4. How do I best help my husband increase his confidence? He is depressed, he longs for something fulfilling. 5. I’m a SI on the disc profile system and find it very frustrating in not being able to make decisive decisions. How do I break through this barrier? 6. I’m college-educated and have been working since I was 16. How do I put a value on that 20 years of experience and college degree? It seems like all the avenues I find for "moving up" are with specific degrees, so I seem to be stuck on low-level, low-pay jobs.
