Arsecast Extra Episode 300 - 05.04.2019
Our pre-season fixtures are finished, next up it's the opening game of the new campaign against Newcastle. James and I reflect on the Barcelona game and pre-season as a whole, as well as gauging our readiness as the Premier League looms. There's been excitement in the transfer market, and from young players, but there are question marks hanging over certain areas of the team, in particular the defence. Will we be able to find answers before the transfer window closes on Thursday? Then we have lots of listener questions about our centre-half situation, what kind of a season we can expect from Mesut Ozil, loaning or keeping young players, our line-up for Sunday and loads more besides. Episode 536 - Raul Sanllehi has trousers
Arsenal have smashed their transfer record for the third time in two years, bringing in Nicolas Pepe from Lille. It's a signing that seemed impossible just a week ago, but here he is. Joining me to talk about Pepe the player is Matt Spiro, and we discuss his arrival, the kind of player he is, and more, as well as William Saliba, Laurent Koscielny and Matteo Guendouzi. Then I'm joined by Clive Palmer to delve into the Pepe deal, what it says about us as a club, the message it sends, the impact he'll have on the squad and the way we plays, and loads more besides, including a defensive discussion.Follow Matt @mattspiro and Clive @clivepafc Hosted on Acast. Arsecast Extra Episode 299 - 28.07.2019
On this week's show there's been transfer market excitement over the signings of William Saliba and Dani Ceballos, and the potential arrival of Nicolas Pepe has got everything at fever pitch. We chat about all three players, and in particular what the signing of Pepe – should it go through – mean for the team. However, there are still questions about our defence, made more pressing by the Laurent Koscielny situation, and we're asked if the transfer window can be considered a success without signing a centre-half. There are loads of other questions besides, including stuff about Edu, players we might sell, paying agents fees and lots more. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Episode 535 - Brooklyn
I've arrived in New York City via LA, Charlotte and Washington DC, and recorded a podcast in Brooklyn with Kurtis Powers from Arsenal NYC on a day when we signed two players. Dani Caballos and William Saliba are Gooners – even if they might never play together – so we chat about the signings, the US tour, the players who have impressed and the work we still have to do in the transfer market. There's also some microphone chat, music chat, and a bit of Marvin. Enjoy. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Episode 534 - LA Live
Because I'm travelling this week and I had no way of speaking to guests about stuff, this week's podcast is based around our 2-1 win over Bayern Munich in Los Angeles. I took my mic and Zoom into the press box, and recorded myself after key moments, making very astute and interesting observations about stuff, and with some end of game player ratings too. This is posted just after I've got to Charlotte, North Carolina this evening, so please excuse any mistakes because I am banjaxed with tiredness. Hosted on Acast. Episode 533 - Edu. Kos don't.
On this week's show I chat about the Laurent Koscielny bombshell with the BBC's David Ornstein. What has happened to get the situation to this point? Is there any way back for the soon to be former captain? And where does this leave the centre of our defence ahead of next season? We also discuss transfers, and all the things Arsenal need to do but unfortunately don't appear to be close to doing at this moment in time. Then it's Edu, and our new Technical Director is the topic of discussion with Tim Stillman – going from his playing days with us, to his administrative roles with Corinthians and Brazil. What kind of an impact can he have on the future of this mental football club?Follow David @bbcsport_david and Tim @stillberto Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
