96. The Mongols V: Rule of Law
This week we return to our ongoing series on the rise of Genghis Khan and the forging of the Great Mongol Empire. This episode will focus primarily on the process by which Temujin, the newly minted Genghis Khan, forged the state that would administer his new realm. What does every state need? That’s right: laws! And don’t you worry, Genghis has a few ideas about how things ought to run. Also, we will discuss the rapid rise and brutal fall of the Khan’s personal shaman, Teb Tengri. Buckle up, folks, it’s a good’un.
