Ohhhhhh snap, you know we had to do it to 'em again with another MOVIE episode. This time, the LU Boys are joined by Patrick from This Is Bad and Ian from Miscarriage of Justice and Film Basics with Bassists on the Rigs of Dad network (please check these shows and all of their other projects because they rule) to discuss the ULTIMATE CUT of Oliver Stone's 2004 epic dud Alexander. 17. The History of the Kings of Britain, pt. 3: Merlin Hears a Who
Part 3 of 4 in the History of the Kings of Britain series.
The Rud Hud Hudibras Boiz cordially welcome you back to the island of Britain, where we embark on part three of Geoffrey of Monmouth’s pseudo-history 12th century book The History of the Kings of Britain. In this episode, we cover the history after the Romans reprimand the Britons for sucking and leave the island for good, whereupon the House of Constantine takes hold of the island. We are introduced to the Wildman of the Woods, Merlin the Wizard, and his aiding the Britons in their battles against the Saxon invasions, culminating in Uther Pendragon’s ascension to the throne and the birth of his son, Arthur of Britain.

16. Brad Little Screws Wolves
This week, the LU boys veer away from explicitly human history to examine the relationship between man and his best friend’s wild cousin. Specifically, we’ll be focusing on wolves in North America, how they’ve interacted with humans here, and how that relates to current pending legislation in the state of Idaho which will lead to one of the largest wolf culls in recent history, which *spoiler alert* we are not that into.

15. Alberto Fujimori: A Cold War Retrospective
In this episode, the Left Unread United People’s Revolutionary Socialist Labor Alliance take the fight to the remnants of the United States’ Cold War operations in Latin America in the first of an ongoing series on the Cold War - or, really, the United States’ anticommunist crusade and mass murder campaign that followed it throughout the global south. For this episode, we look at the current Presidential Election in Peru, pitting socialist Pedro Castillo against far-right neoliberal Keiko Fujimori, the daughter of former dictator Alberto Fujimori, whose career we then walk through as one of the last vestiges of Operation Condor after the fall of the Soviet Union.

14. Mansa Musa, the Lion of Mali
This week, the Left Unread Nice Guy Specialists (L.U.N.G.S.) discuss a monumental historical figure who has been tragically underrepresented in Western historical discourse: Mansa Musa I, fabulously wealthy and powerful leader of the 14th Century West African Mali Empire. Musa’s immeasurable wealth, and the glory and splendor of his realm, are truly the stuff of legends. He was so wealthy that he single handedly undermined the value of gold in the entire Mediterranean with just one road trip.
Also, the lads discuss seltzer, 'spresso, Star Trek, and SUPER-NOT-CHILL-Eurocentrism-and-racism-in-Western-discussion-of-history (The four S's).

13. The History of the Kings of Britain, pt. 2: Roman Boogaloo
Part 2 of 4 in the History of the Kings of Britain series.
In this week’s episode of Left Unread, the LU Boys tackle chapters 2 and 3 in Geoffrey of Monmouth’s The History of the Kings of Britain. First, we start back up after Corineus and Brutus beat up some giants, and we go through a list of incomprehensible uncles and nephews, including the gallant Rud Hud Hudibras. We eventually get to Julius Caesar and his landing in Rome, and that’s when things get really stupid.

12. The Dyatlov Pass Incident
On January 23, 1959, ten experienced student hikers left the Soviet city of Sverdlovsk on a planned expedition into the Ural Mountains. On February 26 of the same year, nine of them were found dead in the wilderness. The ensuing investigation and scientific inquiry yielded no conclusive results, and to this day, the Dyatlov Pass Incident remains officially unsolved… for now.

11. The History of the Kings of Britain, pt. 1: Wait, They‘re Trojan?
Part 1 of 4 in the History of the Kings of Britain series.
In this episode, the Left Unread boys begin their series on The History of the Kings of Britain by Geoffrey of Monmouth, a monumentally stupid story about the mythical founding of Britain by some Trojan guy and the subsequent line of kings and Roman occupations leading up through the Arthurian legend.
In Part 1, we go over the introduction to the Penguin Classics version of the book by Lewis Thorpe and tackle the first chapter, wherein Brutus lays waste across Europe before beating the shit out of a bunch of giants on the island of Albion.
We also get into some more Matt Gaetz drama at the top of the episode.

10. Enemy at the Gaetz
First we get into the Matt Gaetz saga, and this one’s got it all, folks. Pay for play Florida politics, sex trafficking, cryptocurrency mines, the intelligence community, dead spies, Tucker Carlson, and more.
Then we talk about the absurd, obscure 19th century Portuguese book English As She Is Spoke by Pedro Carolino.
And finally we finish with the Erfurt latrine disaster.
