NYGBC: The War on Christmas
This Week!
Fire the Holiday Cannons! I need a dozen red Starbucks cup launchers on the Southeast ridge WHERE THE HELL ARE MY PLATOON BLACK SANTAS!! That's right, the war on Christmas is here, and you're liable to be a casualty of it too whether its from a Christmas play that doesn't mention Jesus or the nativity scene at the local courthouse sharing space with a Menorah. In our special holiday episode we take a look at what's really the reason for the season, getting grandma to buy whatever Fox News' advertisers are selling.

NYGBC: God and Man at Yale Chapter 3
This Week!
We read chapter 3 of William F Buckley's sad excuse for a polemic, "God and Man at Yale the Superstitions of Academic Freedom" and once again we find ourselves wishing we had the heart to follow the guide of Oedipus because at this point that outcome would be preferable.

NYGBC: The Von Mises Institute
This Week!
We take a look at a "think tank" dedicated to the memory of a fascist pseudo economist, and the libertarians (who else) that love him. That's right, this week we took a dive into the Von Mises Institute, as well as the personal bigotries of two of its founders, Murray Rothbard and Lew Rockwell. This episode has it all, Ron Paul! Racist Newsletters! Demanding the right to call dogmatic arguing while ignoring statistics and empirical measures economics!

NYGBC: God and Man at Yale Chapter 2 Part 2
This Week!
We get even deeper into the exhausting slog that is a recent graduate complaining about teachers he didn't like, which has all the makings of a Charlie Kirk except that Buckley actually graduated college. That's right, this week we finish chapter 2 of Willie Frank Buckley's "God and Man at Yale: The Superstitions of Academic Freedom" where Billy complains about intro to economics courses destroying humanity and ushering in the next Bolshevik revolution.

NYGBC: Patron Only Bonus For ALL! None Dare Call It Conspiracy Chapter 6
This Month!
YOU get a patron only bonus episode, and YOU get a patron only bonus episode, and YOU get a patron only bonus episode!
That's right, this month as our little apology for some audio issues on a previous episode we are making this month's patron only bonus episode available for everyone to hear. This week we read chapter 6 of our ongoing patron-only book "None Dare Call it Conspiracy" by Gary Allen and Larry Abraham. So if you just sat through a rough Thanksgiving with a crazy conspiracy-theorizing uncle and need to decompress, or if you have no conspiracy theorists in your life and need that sweet sweet taste, curl up by the fire and enjoy!

NYGBC: Ludwig Von Mises
This Week!
We take the time to look into a figure we've come across in several of our book reviews, and most recently name-dropped by Willie F. Buckley in God and Man at Yale, Ludwig Von Mises (Mooses? Meese? Who really cares?) The forebear of modern know-nothing libertarianism and the primary figure of a field of economics that actually isn't economics so much as poorly written r/freedom posts, is (rather unsurprisingly) a lover of the phrase "classical liberalism" friend of Ayn Rand, and uh... *checks notes* economic advisor for a fascist dictator.
Thanks as always for listening and we hope you enjoy!

NYGBC: God and Man at Yale Chapter 2 Part 1
This week!
We dig into William F Buckley whining about Keynesian economics in only the way a recent college grad who never took any economics courses beyond Econ 101 could. Or in other words, we started chapter 2 of Buckley's "God and Man at Yale: The Superstitions of Academic Freedom"
Thanks as always for being our listeners and enjoy the show!

NYGBC: The Return of Prager RoUlette
This Week!
First off a huge apology about all of the audio issues. Kevin had a failing cable on his end during the record that wasn't detected until it caused a major issue near the second half of the recording, and we didn't know then how bad it had affected what we had already recorded.
However, if you can stand the constant glitching towards the latter half of the episode, we managed to play another round of Prager Roulette including a video very relevant to many of the books we've read, and another complaining about nobody thinking conservatives are funny.
Thanks as always for listening and enjoy the show!

NYGBC: God and Man at Yale Chapter 1 Part 2
This Week!
We finish off chapter one of God and Man at Yale with... more disappointing whining about people who could have cared less about Buckley's complaints. HOW IS THIS A "CLASSIC" OF CPONSERVATISM!!!
Thanks as always for listening and enjoy the show!
