The Remnant Radio
The Remnant Radio educates and equips believers in God's Word & Spirit, exploring Christian theology, church history, and the gifts of the Spirit in a manner that is engaging, relatable, and inspiring. Weekly, we bring together Christian influencers from various denominations to explore theology, church history, and the gifts of the Spirit. We don't always agree with the views of our guests. And, we don’t expect that you will always agree, either. But we are brothers and sisters in Christ, and we agree to humbly approach God’s Word so we can better understand it together. In each episode, we strive to offer constructive dialogue and healthy pushback without veering into argumentative or combative territory. Expect each Remnant Radio episode to be not only informative but also encouraging, entertaining, and, hopefully, inspiring. Our ultimate goal is to help every individual break out of their theological echo chamber and engage in the conversation. Visit our website and subscribe to our newsletter at www.theremnantradio.com.

The Evil God of the Old Testament?: With Mike Winger
The Evil God of the Old Testament?: With Mike WingerOne of our favorite guests is coming back this week. Mike Winger is the host of the Bible Thinker youtube channel. He will be with us this Monday to discuss what many think are contradictions between "the merciless God of the Old Testament and the merciful Jesus of the new."This is a rapidly growing view among professing believers and non-believers alike, causing many to distort and manipulate the meaning of scripture, or modify the nature of God. We are so excited to have Mike Winger with us this Monday to tackle this ever-growing issue in modern evangelicalism. ____________________________________________________________________________________Help Support The Channelhttps://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=GC2Z86XHHG4X6____________________________________________________________________________________Recommended Resources for further studyThe Morality of God in the Old Testament (Christian Answers to Hard Questions)By Gregory Beale. https://www.amazon.com/dp/1596388528/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_675XDbXBNPXMMIs God a Moral Monster?: Making Sense of the Old Testament God by Paul Copan https://www.amazon.com/dp/0801072751/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Sn4XDb32VKTN0Knowing God the Father Through the Old Testament: Three Volumes in OneChristopher Wright https://www.amazon.com/dp/0830825924/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_765XDbVR4GRJKShow Them No Mercy 4 Views on God and Canaanite Genocide -(Counterpoints In Bible and Theology). https://www.amazon.com/dp/0310245680/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Mk4XDbZN4NDYD________________________________________________________________________________________Divine Evil?: The Moral Character of the God of Abraham. How Reductionism Is Harming The Gospel: A look into ReFramAtion by Alan Hirsch & Mark Nelson
How Reductionism Is Harming The GospelIn this episode of the Remnant Radio, we are interviewing Alan Hirsch and Mark Nelson. We are dialoguing about their new boor Reframation. As Christians, we can often be starved of imagination, wary of paradox, and devoid of mystery. Reframation is a passionate manifesto, calling followers of Jesus to reframe and reenchant our worldview, enlarging our perception of God and gospel. It’s an invitation to stretch our minds, expand our hearts, and awaken ourselves and those around us to the grand story of God. In this episode, we will discuss how the western world view has reduced the gospel into bite-size propositions that actually hinder the authenticity of the Gospel. Really looking forward to tonight's show.We will see you live at 8:30PMCST____________________________________________________________________________________Help Support The Channelhttps://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr...____________________________________________________________________________________ORDER YOUR BOOK HEREhttps://reframationbook.com/____________________________________________________________________________________ Subscribe to The Remnant Radio newsletter and receive our FREE introduction to spiritual gifts eBook. Best Complementarian argument (Women in Ministry Part 5): With Dr. Colin Smothers (2019)
In this episode of The Remnant Radio, Dr. Colin Smothers from the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood is coming on the show to discuss women in ministry. However, Dr. Smothers is not going to be giving an egalitarian presentation. Colin will be our very first Complementarian discussing this topic. Our discussion will be anchored in Genesis 1-3 and I am sure we will be visiting 1 Timothy 2 as well, as we discuss the complementarian arguments seen in scripture through the created order of man and woman. Keep in mind, as we explain both sides of this complementarian vs egalitarian debate, no one has a dog in this fight, everyone is coming to the table trying to better understand the scriptures and the God who has spoken to us through his word. We hope you enjoy the discussion. Feel free to ask questions here in the comments or call us live during the show. Slain in the Spirit: With Matthew Esquivel
Slain in the Spirit: With Matthew Esquivel This week on The Remnant Radio we will be diving into Extra-Biblical Manifestations with Matthew Esquivel. We will be focusing on the "slain in the Spirit" phenomenon in the pentecostal charismatic movement. Is being slain in the Spirit a biblical practice, is it a new age phenomenon that has creped into the church, or is it something new that God is doing in the church? Is being "Slain in the Spirit" a real experience? Is it supported by scripture? Is it possible for someone to lay hands on you and you fall backward uncontrollably into possibly a convulsion? What does the Bible have to say about this experience that is so prevalent in the charismatic community? Is being slain in the Spirit in the bible? In this theology podcast, we present a Biblical and robust examination for the slain in the spirit phenomenon. While some say it’s demonic, kundalini, or pure emotion, Remnant Radio gives a Biblical examination of this manifestation.SCRIPTURES YOU CAN CHECK OUT2 Chronicles 5:142 Chronicles 7:21 Kings 8:11Ezekiel 1:28Daniel 8:17-18Daniel 10:9-12Luke 9:32John 18:6Acts 26:13-14 Revelation 1:17____________________________________________________________________________________Help Support The Channelhttps://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=GC2Z86XHHG4X6____________________________________________________________________________________SHOW RESOURCES Mike Bickle (CHURCH HISTORY)https://mikebickle.org/articles/pdfs/The_Manifestations_of_the_Spirit_in_Church_History.pdf Subscribe to The Remnant Radio newsletter and receive our FREE introduction to spiritual gifts eBook.
