Jesus Christ: The Expectation of the Nations (Part I)

Most Christians are aware of the awe-inspiring events of the Old Testament in which God prepared the people of Israel for the coming of the Messiah, the Son of God, with prophecies and types. Few, however, know that the common Father of all also cultivated the fields of the nations that they may also receive the seed of His Word and bring forth fruit.  In the first part of this lecture, given at Three Hierarchs Academy in the winter of 2018,  Fr. Peter presents the signs, witnesses and prophecies, the “θεία οικονομία,” or mystery of salvation, of the coming into the world of the Messiah, the Theanthropos, Jesus Christ, the expectation of the nations. In the second part, Fr. Peter examines the opposing spirit of secularism and Ecumenism, the mystery of iniquity, which is at work through nefarious means to bring the Anti-Messiah, the man of sin, to a position of global dominion, in order for the nations to accept him as their messiah, fulfilling the prophecies of the Lord and His Apostles concerning the rise of the Antichrist.Interested in learning more about Orthodoxy? Why I Will Not be Inoculated with the Experimental Drug Solution

12,383 Reasons (to date) Why I will not be Inoculated. In this presentation I, an Orthodox Christian Priest and Professor of Theology, will be presenting the reasons why I will not be Inoculated with the Experimental Genetically manipulated solutions for a v-- which has a  99.7% survival rate - if you contract it... If you want to see all 12,383 reasons against inoculation you will need to remain until the end of the podcast. For months now people have written me and asked me to produce a podcast on the inoculations and to share why it is that I will not be receiving any of them. Undoubtedly there is much - very much - one can say from many perspectives. So as not to repeat what has been well-stated elsewhere, I will direct you to a few posts below in the description which are noteworthy. I will focus, rather, on those reasons which are perhaps unique to the Orthodox Christian outlook and have not been stressed much to date. . . ---------------------------------Some helpful links:For testimonies of the Holy Elders: https://www.orthodoxethos.comSynodal Statements and Medical Studies on the Inoculations: https://orthodoxreflections.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Synodal-Statements_Medical_Studies.pdf“St. Paisios: If you receive the ‘inoculation’ you will be marked”:https://youtu.be/PvIL9a4nhBAThe chemical injections and delusions of the Antichrist: https://youtu.be/Nhz_qso3mZsOrthodox Case for Exemptions: https://orthodoxreflections.com/the-air-tight-religious-exemption-request-for-covid-vaccines/Adverse Reactions Prove Inoculations are Dangeroushttps://orthodoxreflections.com/adverse-reactions-prove-covid-vaccines-too-dangerous/18 Reasons Why I won’t be getting the Inoculation: https://www.citizensjournal.us/18-reasons-i-wont-be-getting-a-covid-vaccine/- - -OE is ON PATREON: - Link to Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/frpeterheers- Welcome VIDEO on Patreon: https://youtu.be/9CGpyU0JdS4- - - -Utilize the Orthodox Ethos Podcast Interactive Transcripts!: -- https://oe-transcripts.now.sh*For all who would like to support The Orthodox Ethos, donations can be made via Paypal at the following link: -- http://paypal.me/FrPeterHeersShare and Subscribe to the OE YOUTUBE CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/c/OrthodoxEthosOE WEBSITE: https://orthodoxethos.comUNCUT MOUNTAIN PRESS (UMP) Website:https://www.uncutmountainpress.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/frpeterheers Twitter: https://twitter.com/frpeterheersInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/frpeterheers/ Amazon Author Page: https://www.amazon.com/-/e/B00Y938IQ2 Postcards from Greece Podcast: https://saintkosmas.

A Lack of Distinction Between the Theanthropic Body & the Body of Humanity: the Root of our Problems - An Interview with Professor Demetrios Tselengides

Today on The Orthodox Ethos Podcast, the Professor of Dogmatic Theology, Demetrios Tselengides: On the Lack of Distinction Between the Theanthropic Body and the Body of Humanity: the Root of our Problems This interview was conducted on June 1st. In spite of this, the content continues to be very relevant and the message of great importance for the people of God. Time stamps: 00:38- Question 1: Can we speak of the life-giving power of Holy Communion in the context of physical health? 01:37- Answer 1: The body of which we partake in the Eucharist is the risen body of Christ...02:53 - The example of St. Basil the Great...05:08 - Question 2: So we can receive health of both soul and body from Holy Communion?05:18 - Answer 2: Yes, we can...but this is left to the discretion of God since it is not always good for us to be healthy06:10 - Question 3: If one does not wear a mask in Church is this a sign of a lack of love?07:00 - Answer 3: The error lies in the assumptions. . . the problem is that we did not accept what has happened as a penance sent by God...09:36 - God allowed for this to happen so that we might repent...i.e. an existential turn to God and absorption of our spirit [nous[ in God13:26- Question 4: Is the entire picture that is presented, then, the problem? 13:30 - Answer 4: Yes...this Body does not exclude any member from communion of God and Man14:27 - A Rhetorical Question: On what basis can a faithful man go to Church knowing that he is thereby preventing someone else from going?15:22 - Concerning Masks and entering into the worldly mentality...15:52 - We did not take the Scriptural perspective into account.16:57 - We've reached the point where the scientists determine the policy of the politicians and the politicians determine the life of the Church...18:35 - Question 5: If you could go to a church where no measures were enforced, would you go? 18:44 - Answer: I would go..without a mask, without limits on attendance, as I would not trample upon my conscience . . . 19:39 - Even so, I have not for I have personally received a penance from Christ Himself, and through repentance I await for Him to lift it...20:13 - The wonderful 'recipe' of St. Nicholas Kabasilas: for the sake of a sick man, a healthy man can spiritually take the medicine the sick man needs...Biographical Details: Professor Tselengidis’ depth of knowledge, his education and studies, and his diligent research and labor have made him an internationally renowned academic theologian of Orthodox Dogmatic Theology. His most important offering and characteristic, however, is his work’s fidelity to the Holy Tradition and the Deposit of the Holy Fathers, a faithfulness he acquired by following experiential theologians of our day, such as Saints Paisios of Mt. Athos and Ephraim of Katounakia. He considers himself a humble minister, always emphasizing the absolute interrelation of right doctrine with the right way of life, distancing himself from the creation of a sterile and cold academic discourse.   He is the author countless articles and seven books on Dogmatic Theology, covering a wide range of topics, including the theology of the icon, grace and freedom, critical studies of the doctrine of salvation in Luther and the satisfaction of divine justice in Anslem of Canterbury, the Soteriology of Western Christianity, and the presuppositions and criteria of Orthodox Theology. The Method of Holy Communion & the Temptation of Little Faith: A Talk w/ Prof. Demetrios Tselengides

The Professor of Dogmatic Theology at the University of Thessaloniki, Demetrios Tselengides, talks to us about the move by some to change the method of Holy Communion and the ensuing temptation of little Faith.00:35 - Question 1: The use of many lavides ("spoons"), is it blessed and in accordance with Holy Tradition? 02:14 - The "good uneasiness" of the Faithful is a god sign. 03:31 - The Church is led by the Holy Spirit; those faithful who are spiritually "deactivated" are in danger 06:01- The Canons of the Church define what may be done07:10 - The Church is always caring pastorally for the exactitude of safeguarding [Holy Communion]10:22 - We commune of the very Body and Blood that defeated death itself, defeated the evil one, defeated sin, and is thereafter a carrier of life.12:21 - If during this trial, this temptation, we fall into the temptation, we are essentially falling away from the Church15:03 - There are no testimonies for 2,000 years that any harm has come to priests through Holy Communion. 16:45 - Question 2: So it isn’t correct to say that we separate the spoon from Holy Communion, that the spoon does not participate, and so that it could be a carrier of sicknes?16:58 - This rationale leads us into rationalism and considering all the Holy Vessels as conduits for illness. 18:02 - The critical and all-important question is not so much what is done as why it is done.Biographical Details: Professor Tselengidis’ depth of knowledge, his education and studies, and his diligent research and labor have made him an internationally renowned academic theologian of Orthodox Dogmatic Theology. His most important offering and characteristic, however, is his work’s fidelity to the Holy Tradition and the Deposit of the Holy Fathers, a faithfulness he acquired by following experiential theologians of our day, such as Saints Paisios of Mt. Through his many lectures, articles, and appeals to the hierarchy on pressing ecclesiastical matters such as the Orthodox-Roman Catholic, and Orthodox-Anti-Chalcedonian Dialogues, the documents of the Cretan council, and the Ukrainian schism Professor Tselingides has given much courage and consolation to the faithful. - - - Utilize the Orthodox Ethos Podcast Interactive Transcripts!: -- https://oe-transcripts.now.sh*For all who would like to support The Orthodox Ethos, donations can be made via Paypal at the following link: -- http://paypal.me/FrPeterHeersShare and Subscribe to the OE YOUTUBE CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/c/OrthodoxEthosOE WEBSITE: https://orthodoxethos.comUNCUT MOUNTAIN PRESS (UMP) Website:https://www.uncutmountainpress.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/frpeterheers Twitter: https://twitter.com/frpeterheersInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/frpeterheers/ Amazon Author Page: https://www.amazon.com/-/e/B00Y938IQ2 Postcards from Greece Podcast: https://saintkosmas.com/heers-postcards-from-greece/ Academia: https://hts.a
